Battleborn Digital Deluxe [Online Game Code]

True to my style this will be quick.(1)It's a first person "hero" shooter with MOBA style elements to it.(2)It has a private single-player and co-op single-player campaign consisting of around 7 maps I believe. Can't remember the exact number.(3)It has 3 PvP modes with their own maps(4)There is a progression system consisting of 2 things, command rank and character rank. You can earn XP for both of these in single-player or PvP and both carry over. You gain both command rank and character rank by completing maps and matches. Leveling these 2 ranks earns you more abilities, skins, taunts, etc. The progression system is a nice surprise and provides an incentive to play the same maps over and over.(5)There are 26 characters and you can level each up to 15. Not all characters are unlocked when you first play the game. They are unlocked through challenges you complete playing the game or you can eventually unlock all characters by leveling your command rank up as mentioned above. Needless to say, if you actually leveled all to 15 you are talking 500+ hours of actual gameplay.There are many problems occurring right now for this game that I'll list below.(1)Overwatch. While these games should never be compared because they are distinctly different, the idiot public can't seem to figure that out. Unfortunately for Battleborn, Overwatch is now out and people are flocking to it and it is doing real damage to the game. Right now Steam shows around 1,500 people playing Battleborn. That isn't a lot. It can mean increased wait times for PvP matches. The numbers continue to trend down.(2)Matchmaking. Currently it's broken. It will match new players against seasoned veterans and you will get destroyed and just quit the game. They are supposedly working on this.(3)Nerfs. The developers have made the hideous decision to start listening to the whiners and they have started the round robin nerfing of characters that NEVER WORKS. This right here is the number one reason I don't play anymore. I have 200 hours in this game so I don't say that lightly. As soon as you find a character you really enjoy just expect it to get nerfed and made much harder to play all because a group of whiners have a hard time killing you. It's a bad system and it will ruin this game if it hasn't already.(4)The official forums. I have never seen a bigger group of crybaby whiners and heavy handed mods in my life. They literally won't let anyone critique the game or have real conversations. If you dare utter one word that triggers the SJW's over there they will ban you for a few days. It's embarrassing and it pisses me off. Go sign up and see for yourself.Gearbox developed this game and you probably know them from the Borderlands franchise which is amazing. But they aren't capturing that same magic here. This game had massive potential and they are failing hard. A real slap in the face to fans has already occurred. 3 weeks after everyone shelled out $70 for the digital deluxe edition they lower the price to $40. That is a complete joke and a big screw you to the early adopters that supported your game. It's just wrong and they won't even address it.The game has 5-star potential and could still hit it once everyone realize how utterly shallow Overwatch is and returns. As of right now the community is toxic and the game is dying.

First line, if you don't want to read a lot. Game is FUN, and every "flaw" is easily fixed if you give 1 minute of your time to read the forums. Addictive, easy to learn, easy to play, good characters, different styles for everybody. On sale, the game was okay for the price. Very fun into animation and some neat character designs. The gameplay has some nice details and is fast paced enough once you get used to the controls. Unfortunately...it doesn't managed to hold your attention for long. It feels like it's lacking something, though honestly I'm not exactly sure what. I don't want to compare it to Borderlands, because honestly, that's just not a fair comparison (BL is way too awesome). This just feels kinda empty after a few hours of blasting your way through baddies. Plus that unfortunate timing with Overwatch's release didn't help.

It plays like an FPS, has the structure of a MOBA, and is very accessible for PvE gameplay. All daily quests and challenges can be completed against bots, and there is also a single player/co-op mode that uses the same leveling/upgrading mechanics but is structured like a raid. All in all, I recommend this game for people looking for a more co-op oriented action MOBA. This is a good game for me because I like shooters and MOBAs but I'm not a big fan of PvP.

I really was looking more toward the FSP offline experience. Loading scenarios is long and repetitive. Graphics are good. So far character build-out is slow but lots of baby steps. Character weapon assignment seems hard to utilize in what has been unlocked so far .

This game gets a lot of flack for what it used to be and how others compared it to Overwatch. It's actually a really fun game aside from the terrible online matchmaking so many people resort to online forums to find people to play with.

Multiplayer is practically dead.

Once you get use to it it can be a fun game.
