Do I still need a stove to cook some of these items? I know the main entree doesn't but not sure about the other stuff?

While you can heat the food in the mre by adding water to the heating pouch it comes with, it is not necessary to heat or cook any item in the mre. You can open and eat every item as is.

3-5yrs after Inspection date is best. Colder they are kept, the longer they will last. People have eaten MREs that were 10+yrs old with no issue.

2016 would be inspection date and 2012 is manufacture date. Mine are all 2016 or newer inspection date.
