Dannto Womens Closed-Toe Sport Hiking Sandals Walking Water Shoes

These are the comfiest sandals I've bought in years! I realized my go-to pair was literally starting to come apart and took a friend's advice to look at Keen brand, since a closed toe is better for our workplace and I must have good tread for what we do. The reviews indicated these Dannto ones were comparable, despite costing a lot less, than the Keen pair I'd had my eye on, and since they were available in a charming, neutral but not boring color that went with easily two-thirds of my summer wardrobe, I snapped them up so as to have a 'backup pair' while I waited for the Keen ones in the more casual color to arrive. Y'all, I am so glad I did! I tried them on the moment they arrived out of sheer curiosity and haven't had different shoes on a single day! They have just stupidly good arch support, considering they're literal sandals, they stay adjusted how I like them to be all day long, I can walk around amusement parks, festivals and my workplace (guess who got rooked into helping with summer school!) all day long without a blister or the slightest discomfort, they're lighter than slippers and cool as can be. I've worn them with linen slacks, business casual and scruffy-ish chore bluejeans alike, flowy skirts and even a frankly horrible old set of paint-spattered, raggedy old overall shorts my daughter calls 'a Mamma Mia cosplay,' and according to her, "those look actually kinda good," which had me about to buy another pair, until she asked if they did them in two colors my mother had been asking about (they do!) and then "Yeah, those'd work for Grandmama, too." So close! Still, I don't care, they're that comfy. I'll probably wind up getting a brighter-colored pair to be a warm-weather alternative to sneakers and so I can rotate them. They wash up well with mild soap and water if you walk someplace dusty (I used a pinch of my usual clothing detergent powder; it worked great!) and so far they are admirably resistant to staining. (You don't want to know what I've had spilled on me in the past two weeks. Only the ketchup, the red Kool-Aid and the human blood took more than a second or two to rinse out, and with cold water and a little of whatever soap I had to hand, they mostly came right immediately. The Kool-Aid I went and used a little bit of dish soap when the hand soap in the Ladies' room didn't get all of it, but that worked a treat.) And they dry so quickly! These are perfect for the waterpark, the pool or just looking for neat rocks and taking pictures of wildlife at the river's edge. At first I didn't want to get these muddy, since they go well with so many nicer work clothes and church outfits, but they wash up so easily and dry so fast, I'm able to go and look at turtles or try and identify sedimentary vs. metamorphic specimens with my daughter, guilt-free! The only problem is that they've neglected to offer them in any size smaller than a 6. There's a cute purple pair I know my daughter would love, but Dannto just doesn't go small enough. Oh, well. Can't have everything!

I had Keens about 10 years ago and left them somewhere across the country and it's taken me this long to finally be serious about getting another pair of similar shoes. So far these are the only ones I've found that aren't as expensive as Keens have gotten, but also have toe protection (really important when walking around in NYC for me at least). I almost got the new Nike sandals but those don't have toe covers either. Anyway, as soon as I put these on I felt they were so comfortable. Also weirdly enough, unlike Keens these shoes make my feet look smaller instead of bigger. Keens always made me feel like I had duck feet. I wore these to Brighton/Coney island the other day and they were perfect for the hot weather, wearing them on the beach but also on the janky boardwalk with loose planks and nails. I can 100% wear these barefoot which was my other main concern in a sandal. They adjust a lot and they feel tight and secure on my feet. I feel like I can do anything in these. The perfect summer shoe! The only thing I wish they had is a thicker sole, because I'm short and I'm used to most of my shoes having at least a 1 inch platform. But they're so comfy and feel really safe to walk in, so I'm still going to wear them for the rest of summer and until they wear out. I'm taking them camping next weekend, they're perfect for that too.

Very comfortable shoes. Vents in the side of the shoe keep the feet cool. The shoes provide good support but are also flexible while waking. The tennis shoe appearance allows you to wear the shoes anywhere other than dressy occasions. Made from good quality material, allows for long walks and all day wear.
