Everyone has a special gift
This is a heartfelt inspiring book with important messages for children and adults. For kids, follow your joy--you have a gift to give to the world. For parents, help your kids develop their talents! And, for everyone, the best gift of all is the gift of kindness. I had received one and immediately ordered ten more as Thanksgiving Day gifts. If you are looking for a deeply meaningful gift this holiday or any season, Leo's Gift is it. Leo's Gift

but he really likes the wonderful illustrations. This is a great story
Bought this for my grandson whose name is Leo. He is only two, so he doesn't "get" the whole message, but he really likes the wonderful illustrations. This is a great story!

A Charming book
Thanks to the @kidlitexchange network and Loyola Press for the review copy of this book - all opinions are my own. This is a charming book about discovering your gifts in life. The delightful artwork perfectly illustrated the text on every page, and the expressions on Leo’s and Meredith’s faces when they began to realize what their gifts truly were were a special treat. As Mr. Alonzo explained, “Leo, everyone has a special gift. It’s like a treasure we carry inside, a treasure we need to practice and polish and share.”The story is also about the memories of music that we all carry deep inside us. I loved how Leo used his special gift to reach some of the residents of a senior home at Christmas time. It’s an ending that will touch your heart and encourage us to all search for our own special gift.

Sweet book for the holiday season and beyond
LEO'S GIFT is a sweet book for the holiday season and beyond! When Leo's sister Meredith teaches him how to plunk a few notes on the piano, he quickly realizes he has a passion for playing. Over the course of the fall, he gets better and better during his secret practice sessions. His sister, however, just gets better and better at basketball - something she has a talent for. Leo wants a talent like his sisters - but how will he find it?The illustrations for this text are joyful and draw the attention of young children. Although this story has a few loose ends, it's a very sweet one for the holiday season. Leo learns to recognize his own strengths and to share them with others - a valuable lesson for any child.

This beautifully illustrated book has a heart-warming story that shows how each person has unique gifts that, when developed, bring joy to others as well as themselves. A nice family setting, and many good role models. Respect for the elderly so touchingly portrayed. The pictures are fun to look at for subtle detail.
