Works well with my Ryobi lawnmower! If you don’t want to spend $200 or more, this option is great for me. The only issue is that the release button is pretty stiff. The weight is excellent, and the size fits perfectly. The battery capacity is a bit lower than the original, but I just charge it when it runs out, so it’s not a big deal. Installation is easy, just like the original. I was skeptical at first, but overall, I’m happy with the product. There are plenty of aftermarket options out there, some better and some worse, but it all comes down to performance for me.

Nice battery. Has a little light meter on the side for capacity. It is a little 'older' looking than the current Ryobis, but it is compatible with MOST Ryobi lawn equipment. I say most because it is a bit chunky, and depending on the tool it might be a little more challenging to click it into place. That being said, It works with the power, Leaf Blower, and Weedeater just fine. Little tighter on the weed eater, and a firm push is needed on the Leaf Blower, but it works and feels as strong as it is with the OEM Ryobi batteries. Id' say capacity-wise its pretty close to advertised. It has 2.5 More Ah than the largest Ryobi I have. Usually, 1 battery and some change is needed for my backyard. This battery lasted the whole yard on its own and still had enough charge to weed eat a little afterwards. So overall, good for price. little heavy, little chunky. Close to same aesthetic (same colors). If you're trying to save some $$ here, this is a good option. Excellent alternative.

Woked well for one season, good run time. Stored in warm area thru the winter, but attempted to charge it for spring use. Ryobi charger showed full charge after about 40 minutes, but nothing there when attached to trimmer. Will be looking for another battery, as warranty and return window closed. Update; apparently a cell or cells failed inside the battery; left it on my workbench on its side, and a small amount of a thick brown liquid leaked out. Didnt seem to harm the bench top, will have to research lithium cells though.. Contacted seller. They have sent a replacement battery, even though warranty had expired. Replacement works well, great customer service when problem was brought to their attention.

I bought a new Ryobi leaf blower which came with a battery. My yard is a little bigger and needed more than one battery to complete my yard without having to charge the battery. I bought this to be able to just switch out batteries when the first one depleted. I now can finish my yard without having to wait for the battery to charge. The battery lasted about 30 minutes and easily attached to my snow blower and the charger without any issues. This battery is a great solution if you need a new battery or an additional one to supplement what you have. The great thing is that it is so much cheaper than the brand name.

Update: Dropping another Star. Been using it more and continuing to realize just how bad this pack is. Maybe it was defective? As it stands, I highly do not recommend. Original: I picked up a used Ryobi 20” mower used for cheap. Came with a 5Ah battery and two 2.6Ah batteries. My lawn is decently large so I decided to get another larger battery. Like you, I did not like the price of a genuine Ryobi battery so I gravitated towards this one. Well, nothing but regret. This battery performs similarly to the Ryobi 2.6Ah batteries. Possibly slightly worse. It really struggles on the power side if you hit a patch of tall grass. It chugs, dies down, and gets rather hot. Overall it lasts about as long as a 2.6Ah genuine Ryobi battery. The 2yr old genuine Ryobi 5Ah battery puts this one to shame, even tho its nominal capacity is lower and it’s old. Benefit of the doubt, maybe mine was defective? But I’ll never know cuz I gave it a shot and missed the return window. Overall, I do not recommend this. Buy a genuine 2.6Ah battery. Buy a used battery if you’re cheap. Pass on this.
