Henry HE887HS073 Tropicool Roof Coat, 5 Gallon

Great product that is durable and thick. Applied with a paintbrush to get good coverage. Only negative is that it dries so quickly and the price point, but it seems to have great coverage and helped with keeping the RV cool!

1. A 5 gal bucket covered my 32' 5th wheel with 3 slide outs and had about 1/5th the bucket left over. 2. Thick and gooey stuff that dries quickly and spreads nicely. You should use it on a cool or cloudy day or it will lump up as you put it down. Forms a skin on a closed bucket that is not useable. Peeling the skin back to get underneath works. I suggest placing a plastic sheet on the top of the mix inside the bucket so that air cannot reach the stuff. 3. Make sure the surface is dry and clean. It will not stick to any kind of damp surface. Otherwise, it seems to stick quite well to multiple surfaces ( metal, plastic, rubber roof) 4. You can't clean up with water, or soap and water. I just tossed everything after I used it. Washing your hands is a chore. I'd suggest nitrile gloves. 5. I did not thin the mix and I'm not sure what you would thin it with--definitely not water. 6. Dries to a glossy finish and thickens as it dries. Surface seems quite durable and somewhat pliable. Fills in cracks nicely. Has no odor I could detect. 7. I applied it with a traditional paint roller and a paint brush, which worked well. 8. Overall I'd say it's a good product as far as application and appearance. How it wears remains to be seen.

This not only sealed my RV roof to perfection but it provides a lasting piece of mind. The quality is impeccable! It was easy to apply, Is waterproof after the first hour and can be applied in a wide range of temperatures! It does thicken fairly quick towards the bottom of the bucket it gets harder to spread. I recommend changing out the roller heads, It sounds simple, but will make a huge difference in application!

After a lot of research I finally settled on this product. Although it was one of the more expensive options I still decided to purchase it. I applied the Henry Tropical Roof Coat on the roof of my 43’ Park Model RV as well as the roof of the adjoining sunroom. It’s been 14 months since I applied it. My RV is permanently parked outside in the direct sun of south Florida (Key Largo, FL) year round and exposed to all the elements. I went up on the roof today to check on things. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find out how wonderfully this product is holding up. It looks EXACTLY as it did the day after I applied it! It has maintained its brilliant white appearance and is still very playable and soft to the touch. No cracking or degradation at all and no chalkiness whatsoever. It’s still smooth, shiny and soft. I would highly recommend this product. Apparently it’s true, you get what you pay for. One very satisfied customer here!

This coating works great, the coverage is unbelievable, it goes a long ways and goes on nice. Now if it holds up to the sun(and my bet is that it does ). The only thing that concerned me was the use by date was up on the 5 gal that I received, but still happy with the results!!!

This coating goes on easy and covers well . I put on 2 coats with 5 gallons on a 36’ motorhome. One thing I noticed is that after it dries and it has any moisture on the roof , it’s as slippery as being on ice .

Game changer. I used Enduro tape for the seals and then layed 3 coats on my roof and wow. My AC no longer struggled to keep the R-pod 202 in the 70s is the South West Texas heat. On the flip side we have had some temps down in the mid 30s here and it keeps the temp from cracking below 60 in the camper without using the heater as it holds heat in. I would advise you to take a look inside your roof and you will notice very little insulation inside and where it has some it is not connected at all with large gaps. I would put this on a new camper. Total eco game changer. Less electric, less propane, big help for the boondockers. Going to edge the windows next with the tubes. Tropicool for the win. Would give it 10 stars if I could.
