My husband and I just put it down and it fits perfectly and my office chair is easy to move around. We did take some time to lay it flat because it was rolled up so tight. My husband was able to roll it the other way and after some time we got it to lay flat.

This is great. Yes, it is hard to unroll. I got quite the workout, let me tell ya! But it is possible for a 50+ year old woman to unroll this by herself. Mine is 47 x 59. Since I just got it a couple days ago, it still has slight ripples in it, but those will straighten out with enough time. Chair wheels do leave indents in the material, but with a little push they still roll well. The only reason I took a star off is because I think $50 is entirely too much money for this product. PVC is the cheapest of the office matt materials.

This worked great for protecting the floor from my office chair. As a heavyset man of 6'2", it was definitely needed. It was very hard plastic with a glossy, frosted window look to it. Fit well in the space I needed it for (make sure you measure your space when getting one of these, I had to return another one from somewhere else). It doesn't seem like it's going to break anytime soon. It is not soft in any way. Good price. Recommend.

Update 2 months in: I hate it more than I did when I first got it. The sides consistently bend up, the chair leaves imprints on the mat so it does not roll smoothly, and consistently slides across the carpet. I wouldn't wish this on my worst office working enemy. DO NOT BUY. -- Used this to replace a mat I had for many years that worked great but begun to crack. This mat is a great size but is VERY soft even on standard home carpet which makes it very hard to roll. The I thought perhaps it was a matter of being new but it has been a few weeks now and still an issue. I would not buy this product again.

I like the size but the quality itself isn't great. After sitting on it with a chair for just a couple over hours, there are already indents in the mat where I typically sit. I wouldn't consider myself to be "large" by any means (5'2", 155 pounds). Just seems weird that there would be indents already. It also doesn't lay flat. That could be a product defect for mine personally but it has these little waves in it and no matter how long it as sat (a couple of weeks now), I can't get the waves out of it. Is what it is but annoying.

Wish it was a bit thicker but it protects the carpet and the chair. The size is perfect for my large desk

On carpet, chair does not roll. Creates a dent in the plastic where chair sits when on carpet.

Highly recommend getting this mat if you have carpeted floors. I had an old chair mat that worked on wood, but was a nightmare even on short carpet. It would constantly bunch up. Not sure what took me so long to order a replacement with spikes, but I've just received this one today and I'm so happy with the difference already. If you are in this same situation this is a great option. Your chair slides back on and off the carpet/mat without any dragging, the spikes make a big difference. I was a little worried about the difficulty of unrolling the mat based on the comments. I think they are a little overstated, but it definitely isn't easy to initially unroll it. Would recommend doing it with two people for sure. I would also recommend having a bunch of flat heavy things nearby. I used stacks of records, books, an ottoman and covered all the corners and pretty much the whole surface area. Use 2 heavy things to hold down the corners then try and roll it out. I checked after about 5 hours and it was pretty much flat. It may have been done sooner but I didn't check, however I've seen some reviews mentioning it took days, or that it's never truly flat. Not my experience with it at all.

Really pleased with this chair mat. It slides smoothly under my chair, making movement effortless, and it hasn’t left any marks or damage on my carpet. It feels sturdy and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s a bit difficult to unfold at first and needs some weight on it to fully flatten out—but once it settles, it stays in place and works perfectly.

Works well on a deep pile carpet. Probably a bit expensive for what it is. But i can move my chair far easier now. The mat has studs on the back, mine hasn't moved like others said. Good product
