Outstanding PSU
Phenomenal PSU, the native 12v power connector was the perfect size and length for the 5080 I paired the system with. It's silent, even with the zero fan mode off. Another outstanding MSI product that will support any modern PC setup with full functionality. The price for performance is also just about unbeatable. You'll be hard pressed to find anything better for the money.

Powerful and reliable
A good replacement for my super old Corsair RM1000x. That one was a good PSU, except it wasn't ready for newer platforms. It worked fine with my old RTX 3090 + X570 + Ryzen 9 3900X, but after upgrading to X870E + 9950X3D, my computer reboots randomly. After some research I blamed it on the old PSU that could not handle power surge well which is notorious for 3090 cards. After installing this new PSU there's no more random reboots.

One of The Safest Power Supplies for ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards
This review is specifically for the MPG A1250GS, The tldr is that I recommend it as it's a competitively priced high quality compact power supply that's A tier on the psu tier list and gives clean stable power from a trustworthy company backed with a 10 year warranty. The slightly longer version is that I searched pretty high and low for a competent power supply that has all the bells and whistle on top of being relatively compact and ultimately settled on this one and I'm happy I did because it was super easy to install as the cables are all individually sleeved and had cable combs pre-installed. The main selling point for me was the compact 150mm long size and confirmed ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards along with being A tier on the psu tier list but I've also never been done wrong by MSI personally so that helped with my decision a bit. It's powering my system which has a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, RTX 4090, 64gb DDR5 6000MHz, 5 SSD's, 3 HDD's, and a TON of fans without any issues along with some very stable voltage readings when monitoring my pc with HWiNFO. PS, Please ignore my rats nest of cables in the last picture as I have a lot of drives being powered but still wanted to show it installed : )

Quiet, well built, easy to setup, no coil whine.
Product was brand new and came with all the power cords. It fit perfectly in my mid tower case, even if upside down to have to fan suck in from outside of the case. The psu is built very well and doesnt have any loose pieces. Everything has worked flawless. I bought this to replace my 850gl because of coil whine, this psu has been absolutely quiet using 9800x3d and a 5070ti. I dont hear the fans, no coil whine, nothing. What a relief, pairs perfectly with my x870e Carbon as well! MSI is my go to.

Top quality PSU from MSI!
Best PSU I ever bought, the quality it’s top notch, the cables are built amazingly well and as always all MSI products never disappoint, replaced a Lian Li PSU that the fan failed after a month with this one and the difference is night and day, also I if you check on Cybenetics website it’s rated Platinum so that’s a plus!

Great Reliable and Future-proof PSU
Been using the MSI MPG A1250GS for a couple weeks and it has been great. Bought this PSU for the performance and reliability as well as modularity and great future proofing. The looks are a bonus, even though you hardly see the design depending on your case. Fits snug in my MSI MPG GUNGNIR 300R AIRFLOW case. Connectors can be a little difficult to fully seat in the motherboard and PSU but this ensures it’s a snug fit and eliminates potential for loose connections. The one issue with this PSU is it does not have enough of the PCIE cables for older gen GPUs; however MSI does offer a free cable if you register your product on their website and select the promotion.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS (07/10/25)
- This is first impressions, will update in the future. Okay, to start up. I'm upgrading from the MPG a850g from MSI to the MPG a1250gs which is a huge wattage jump and my reason was for future proofing and prime day deal I couldn't resist ($179.99 at the time). Cable quality is great and the combs including are new to me as I always had the rubber stiff cables. Very easy to work with and easy connectivity. Functionality wise, DONT BUY THIS PSU IF YOU'RE ON A AMD GPU. My opinion on this PSU is that it was made for nvidia and you can tell, please do your research! I researched other PSUs ranging with more connectivity but my mind was made when I saw less wires I had to worry about. Smell wise, they don't smell or atleast the quality of mine didn't. - Will update soon regarding noise levels and other things after testing. - PC SPECS 5900x 12 Core 64GBs DDR4 3200CL16 2TB SN850x (Boot Drive) 2TB SN850x (Game Drive) 4070ti Super 6 120mm Noctuas and 2 140mm's running on hub with sata power.

MSI MPG A1250GS PCIE5 psu
Nice psu with plenty of vroom to power the new generation of video cards and more. The inclusion of a proper PCIe 5.1 cable (12V-2x6) is great. This is my first MSI psu and I am looking forward to getting many years of use out of it.

Powerful PSU, just works, Stiff connector though
I got this power supply to power a new 5080 GPU, and it works great so far, I can't complain! My systems been stable so far with no problems, under load I haven't noticed much noise or coil whine or anything like that, The PSU does include a "zero fan" button on the back which I think is supposed to make it even quieter? I haven't had reason to use it though. Two things I'd like to point out, for anybody reading this who might run into a similar situation. I bought this PSU before getting the 5080 and, without paying enough attention to what was advertised on the box, this PSU only includes 3 PCIe/CPU connection points, and only includes 1x PCIe cable, 2x CPU cables. So if you're in a situation as I was in, prior to owning the 5080 GPU, where your motherboard requires 2x CPU connectors and your GPU requires 2 PCIe cables, please keep in mind you won't have enough with this PSU. Not knocking any stars for this as it was more of a subjective issue and again, it is advertised on the box, just came down to not paying enough attention. The other point I'd like to mention is, the Yellow 600W Connector for the new 5000 series, requires quite a bit of effort to fully seat into the PSU, I don't want to knock star ratings off for this although it was a gripe I had with it, because I know the intention is to have it securely seated. I booted my system and my GPU didn't work at first, until I realized I hadn't fully seated the cable (you really need to insert the cable to the point you don't see the yellow at all anymore, and that took a surprising amount of effort to do)

Peace of mind cables
Very sturdy construction. The yellow ended cables make it so much easier to tell if things are fully plugged into components for peace of mind. Also love the included cable storage bag.
