Sharp picture. Lifelike color. Easy setup. I put this in my kitchen and it’s a perfect size. I like the 3 hdmi jacks. I have a soundbar connected to one; an Apple TV on another and Roku on the third. The tv turns on the soundbar and the Apple TV. Super easy. And a bonus: the tv is very affordable.

Easy set up, picture quality is real good. The sound was better than expected. Our last tv that this replaced we used a Bose sound bar because of the low volume sound but we’ve decided it really want needed with this tv . This is a small room that this tv is in so the volume is just fine. This is the 42 in and so many of the smaller tv’s have such low volume when it comes to sound. The remote is nicely done also. We’d buy this again if the longevity is good which I suspect will be.

For under $200, this smart TV delivers exactly what I needed and then some. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and performance for the price — the picture is clear and the Fire TV interface makes streaming everything easy. Setup was straightforward and it’s been reliable in daily use. I needed a replacement TV fast after my old 65” dumb TV died over the holidays and I didn’t want to go through hassle of having to shop for a big screen delivered, mounted, and the old one removed. This 40” Hisense was the perfect answer. It arrived in one day. Well packaged, and just the right size and weight for one person to unpack, move, and install the feet with four screws. Once plugged in it connected seamlessly to remote WiFi and was surprised how easy it was to access all the functions from the remote and appreciate the large OK button and dial around it for up/down/left right. Common streaming apps are preinstalled and easy to add more and even arrange on screen. I was able to install DirectTV as an app and the device to the HDMI port. This allows you to either control with the Hisense remote or the DirectTV remote. Also, the Bluetooth neckband connected easily. The picture quality is surprisingly good for the price and there are sorts of adjustments available with a click on the remote whether you are on an app or HDMI. In fact, the clarity is so much better than the now defunct 65” TV (which cost 20+ times as much 14 years ago than the Hisense), the smaller screen size is negligible. One minor hassle, probably unique to my setup, was the length and position of the power cord. It was a foot too short and came out of wrong side of the TV’s back to plug in to the existing surge protector. So the surge protector had to be relocated. Overall, a terrific value and very portable. And, although I haven’t done the Alexa thing it does have that capability too.

This is a nice TV for a second room. Has the typical Fire TV set up and installed my apps from my previous setup with no issues. Has a very nice picture quality. Lot of reviews said sound was not very good. I disagree. I set up the Virtual surround sound and set the equalizer the way I like and found the sound to be quite good. I also tried it through a Bluetooth soundbar. The issue with it is it has no surround sound and no equalizer settings of it's own so it is pretty flat. When you connect the soundbar, it makes it so you cannot change any settings using the TV sound settings, so it remains flat. Sound is much better with the TV speakers, I think.

I got this mainly to monitor my security cameras and it does the job well. Setup was straightforward, got it out of the box and running pretty quick. Picture quality is fine for what I need - the 1080p is clear enough to see camera feeds without any issues. Sound is okay, nothing special but gets the job done. Build quality is what you'd expect at this price point, it's not premium but it's solid enough for everyday use. For the price I paid, I think it's good value especially if you need an extra screen for monitoring or just casual viewing. Does what it's supposed to do without breaking the bank.
