Multi-Active Delivery Essence, Hydrating Skincare Face Essence for Softer and Smoother Glass Skin

I love this stuff. As someone with super sensitive skin, this doesn’t irritate mine at all. The fragrance is light. The essence is hydrating and a great base for all of my other serums. The consistency is definitely thin and on the watery side. My skin feels more supple and even looks more even than it did before started using it consistently.

The Ordinary wins again. I’m loving this item. I really feel like my skincare products are more effective after starting this. Quality is certainly there, and it’s super easy to use and apply as the first step in my routine. Skin feels soft, not tight or dry. Definitely a good value for the money. I will be repurchasing.

So here's my thing. I'm in my soft life era. I'm in my 50's and have decided to make a conscious effort to use only stuff that is a pleasure to use, especially when it comes to skincare. For years I've exclusively used Hanskin's essence which is water, but thicker than this one from The Ordinary. The Hanskin brand has more glycerin so it's got a dewier feel to it and I really love the feeling. Even though I love the feeling and have had no issues with my skin while using it, as we women often do, I wanted to try something else, especially something that might perform just as well for less money. I've been using The Ordinary essence for about a month now. It is very very very watery. If not for the scent, I'd think it WAS water. It's very runny, and the scent is not horrible; it's just not "pretty". It smells clinical, almost a teeny chemical scent. I can't complain as far as my skin accepting it. I've had no issues, no breakouts or anything. It's definitely less expensive so there's that. I just don't "enjoy" using it. There is nothing luxurious about this product. I also find it weird that there seems to be no list of ingredients. At least with the Hanskin essence, I know exactly what's in it. I get my actives exclusively from The Ordinary (mandelic, alpha arbutin and niacinamide) but I think I'll go back to my old essence. I also don't like that is in such a tiny bottle. If I were to stick with this one, I'd have to buy 2 bottles and pour it into a larger bottle. Not bad, just not lux. For something I do more than once a day (wash my face) I want it to feel less like a chore, and more like a lovely experience. This doesn't give me that. But I'll be fair. I'm not going to throw away the product since I'm having no adverse effects. I'll finish the bottle and see if I notice any difference. If you know my reviews, I sure will return and update once I've "hit the pan" (emptied the bottle).

Absolutely love all things Ordinary and this is no exception. It’s an essence that assists in helping your skin care absorb better into your skin. Very clean ingredients scientifically backed ingredients. Just amazing.

My routine for the AM: oil cleanser- milk toner- niacinamide- caffeine solution for eyes- beta moisturizer. My routine for the PM: SA Cleanser- essence- hyaluronic- caffeine solution for eyes- Beta moisturizer. For deep moisturizer i place Biodance pads on my cheeks and cut one up for my nose and I leave it on until it dries. When I wake up I use rosewater facial mist. Moisturizes my face. I use it btwn the day. Absolutely wonderful. This new routine has CHANGED MY LIFE!!!! Within a week! My face is so moisturized. No more clogged pores! My makeup puts on nicely. Thank You Ordinary! Please so not ever change your prices. You got a loyal FOR LIFE!! I love these products. Affordable and I can come to them time and time again!

My only go to toner. Softens and pulls beyond the surface layer.

The ordinary never let's you down this essence is amazing,ive put mine into a spray bottle and spray it over my face and then apply my serum and creams then make up and when ive applied my make-up i spray again on my face and it sets my make-up and leaves a beautiful dewy look like the Koreans have its absolutely amazing o carry it in my bag every where and spray it on my face here and there I also keep it in my little fridge where I keep all my other skincare products,its a must I wouldn't go without it,I love it so much and the price is worth every penny against all the other expensive products out there it doesn't mean because its cheap,it doesn't work, give it a go you won't be disappointed ive already ordered 10 more as im scared they will sell out....give it a go and put it in a spray bottle as it goes a long way,thank you ordinary you never let us down 🫠
