Warm and cushioned!
Wore them for the first time today. Walked for almost an hour, 17 degrees and 4 inches of snow, and my feet were cozy and warm. Good, solid, cushioned comfortable boots. I ordered a half size bigger (usually wear an 11) and with two pair of socks the fit is just right. Not too tight or loose in the width and ample room in the toe. This is my first pair of Clark's and not my last. For the price an excellent pair of cold weather boots!

Very satisfied
These are great. I walk 4 miles a day in them. I've had them for a couple weeks now and have no complaints. I always wore Timberland boots in the past. My last pair of Timberlands was on its way out so I replaced them with another pair of Timberlands, same boot, different product. The Timberlands just felt off, poorly made, inexpensive boots a price, whatever. I wore the new Timberlands twice, on two 4 mile walks, and returned them. These Clarks were $30 or so more expensive than the Timberlands, but well worth the extra. I look forward to walking in them daily for a few years anyway. They are well made and comfortable.

The shoes are smaller than I expected
I've purchased Clark shoes for over 50 years, and I can say that I am a brand loyalist. I bought these shoes in March for a trip I just completed in Iceland. Foolishly, I didn't try them on when I bought them. The shoes run smaller than I expected, and I had to use a very thin pair of socks with them. After an all day tour to the gullfoss falls, รingvellir National Park, and Strokkur geyser in Haukadalur valley, my feet ached quite a bit. Although my experience with these shoes wasn't the best, I think the shoes are well made, and I would buy them again but in a larger size than I normally wear.

So comfy i cried tears of joy
Been searching for a nice pair of boots for awhile because I plan of doing a lot of hiking and backpacking this summer. When I first put these wonderfully made boots on my feet I became emotional and nearly cried tears of joy at how comfortable they are, it's like walking through heaven. Seriously phenomenal. Haven't hiked in them yet but the first impression is amazing and I can't wait to rack up the trail miles on these gems.

Great boots, very comfortable and water proof
I already have a pair of these boots, and have been wearing for three years. Great boots, very comfortable and water proof. My original pair is still in good shape but showing a few signs of wear and I wanted to make sure I have a new pair when these finally wear out. Manufacturers tend to change styles, etc., so wanted to be sure of replacements.

Returned due to manufacturing defect.
The right shoe tongue had a hard excrescence on the inside edge that dug into my ankle and caused my foot to hurt a couple of hours after wearing it. I found the defect only after my foot hurt. Other than that , the shoe was comfortable, seemed durable and well made otherwise. I suspect the defect was done off and I plan to order the same item again soon.

GREAT BOOTS!
Returned the Sz. 9.5 OUTRIDE HI GTX BOOT for a pair of 10's (each brand seems to fit me differently) and am now very happy with these boots...well built, comfortable and versatile, perfect for walking around town or hiking in the woods.

Narrow at the toes
Great over all but a bit too narrow on the toes I'm a 10 standard.

It seems the excellent reputation is well-deserved...
I have never tried Clarks shoes before, but I was very curious to try them when I saw these on sale here on Amazon. I have been pretty picky about hiking shoes and until this point, I had only worn Montrail should hiking shoes. Sadly, they have are gone now so I needed to find a pair that would fit me just right. Now that I have worn these Outride Hi GTX shoes for a few months, I can see why Clarks has so many positive reviews. The shoes are a terrific value for the money! The leather is incredibly soft yet tough and durable. The soles have wonderful support. I have not yet felt the need to wear my orthotics with these shoes because of the support they offer. Also, they have terrific ankle stabilization. I feel very confident that I will not sprain my ankle with the shoes. The only cons I can think of are: 1. the colors. I wish other colours were offered. And 2: I wish I had gotten a wider fit. These are just a tad tight for my slightly wide feet. But not tight enough to be uncomfortable as I still wear them every day. Overall, I am incredibly happy with the shoes and a good replacement for the Montrail hiking shoes that are now gone forever. When the time comes, I will probably buy another pair of Clarks hiking shoes.

Be sure to try these on before removing tags. Mine were unwearable!
The boots were unwearable. The stitching inside the lip was very rough. On the right side, a large knot rubbed across a tendon causing excruciating pain after only a few steps.
