16x150mm Polystyrene Test Tubes and Flange Caps, Pre-Assembled Packs

I use these containers to store my 5 inch scroll saw blades. They are made of hard plastic and the top secures the blades very well. I actually purchase another set a few weeks after I received my initial order. They are P E R F E C T for storing 5 inch scroll saw blades. I build a stand and created a self standing storage unit and drilled holes with my drill press to secure the containers.At first I was looking for glass containers but found these. I am very glad I purchased them. They do the job I bought them for.

We bought these test tubes for housing ant queens in the process of egg laying. We like the tubes and they serve their purpose, but the caps do not fit. We use cotton balls to stopper them when housing ants so they don't need the caps, but when we tried to insert a cap into a tube it cracked. So if you need the caps this may not be the listing for you. Ours came on a plastic bag, but we didn't notice cracks or scratches on arrival.

Ordered three packages so far at two different transactions. Today I am putting the candy in them. The first order only had 9 tubes. The second order has 10 tubes but only 9 lids. Hopeful my third order has all there to be able to have enough that I need for a birthday party Saturday!!!!

Perfect for organizing my scroll saw blades. Easy to open caps that stay securely closed to keep blades clean and dry. I made a little wooden stand for these, actually double rows as I'll buy another set of tubes. Then screw it to the side of my scroll saw where they are totally handy.

I love these. I wanted them to store tiny beads, and they're perfect for that. Mine arrived all loose in a plastic bag, as well, but they weren't scratched up. The caps fit snugly, and I don't worry about storing the beads upside down so I can see them all clearly. They hold quite a few beads, and the clarity is as good as glass on mine. I ordered 3 sets, and am happy with all 30 vials. Best price I've seen, other than bulk purchases. Size is perfect, clarity is as good as glass, without the worry about breaking so easily. This is the brittle type of plastic, tho. It will shatter, too, if abused. It's not the squishy kind of plastic. No bending or bouncing back from stepping on it, but I suspect it will take a lot more abuse than a glass one, without breaking.

This was my second order of these test tubes. The first package was great (I use them to store my scroll saw blades). This package of test tubes arrived with blue tops instead of the clear tops shown in the picture and with my original order. Also, the blue tops would not fit in the tubes. They were a completely different design. I am returning these tubes and tops and have reoredered new ones. We will see if they are like the originals that worked. Lastly, Amazon has a fantastic return policy/procedure. Could not have been easier to return the item.

NOTE: THEIR PACKAGING FOR SHIPPING IS AWEFUL, NO PROTECTION. I HAVE HAD ONE TUBE CRACKED IN SHIPPING WHEN I NEED ALL 10. HAVE ORDERED AT LEAST 6 TIMES AND 50% OF THE TIME ONE CAME CRACKED.... MAY NOT ALWAYS BE IN SHIPPING, NO BROKEN PIECE IN ONE SO PACKAGED CRACKED BEFORE SHIPPING.BUT PRODUCT IS GREAT!I used these to protect my Bona Fide Czech nail files since they only come in a plastic sleeve protector. Perfect size but don't take up too much space .

I'm probably using these for something other than what they were intended for. I bought them to put the different types of saw blades for my scroll saw in. There's a large variety of blades with different number of teeth per inch and different width of blade then there's the spiral tooth blades that are sorta like a small cork screw with teeth.Being plastic tubes I don't have to worry about them breaking and using a Scripto marker to write on them what size/kind of blade is in it, stays on the tube. I don't know if I will find anything else to use them for but for keeping track of the 5" long Scroll Saw Blades these are perfect for them.
