Q: How long is the knife when closed

I would say around 4-4.5 inches. Pretty slim, just a bit heavy.

No unfortunately this specific knife doesn't have a bottle opener

Q: How does the knife hold up over time? My mom has one that is a different color, and the knife part is a bit loose, and its not sharp.

Over time it can easily be damaged. After a couple months my window break came off and fell somewhere, (haven't used that part) and the blade has a few heavy knicks i cant get out of it without serious grinding. These are basically disposable knives that last a few months. If you want a blade that will last longer and is durable steel I'd look at Katsu's collection. They don't look quite as flashy but they sharpen well and hold an edge beyond most I've used. A bit pricey but so far 2 knives from them (6+ from tac force) and the 2 Katsu have never recieved blade damage during use even when i slip and consistently strike it against metal. I have the green Bamboo handle D2 blade and the damascus. The clip will be the only thing that possibly wears other than blade's edge. Hope that helps.
