Hi - How many exercises for beginners/people with little strength? I'm a post-menopausal woman; walk regularly but no strength ex's for 5 years.

Apologies for not replying sooner. What I did was go through the cards and determine which ones would be best for me (I'm 67, and in good health). Be conscious of any limitations you may have (I have some lower back discomfort). I think the most important way to proceed is start with a low weight (most big box stores have an affordable weight set of three pairs of dumbbells 1, 2, 3 lbs. with a mini rack. Or just start with a pair that is manageable for you. The key is being deliberate in your motion, do not hurry...do a smooth and deliberate motion using the best posture you can. For me, I do not listen to music or watch TV, I just try to focus and concentrate on my routine. You might want to start your program by doing your set once every three days for about a month and then to every other day. This will allow some time for the muscle groups to recover and make your routine more enjoyable. I'd start with 8 or ten reps each. Watch your diet and keep to your schedule and it won't be too long before you start seeing results. Peace.

I have used these at my gym. Before going to the gym, I reviewed the cards and selected a good variety to work my entire body. The use of these cards has allowed me to emulate my former personal trainer and his wide variety of workouts. I’m so happy that I discovered these cards as I can get thorough workouts without a
