Great quality that makes oil changes a breeze.
Makes oil changes a breeze. Quick and easy while keeping a bit cleaner. Sturdy build quality and never an issue. Put them on many vehicles.

MUCH less messy process draining the oil. And saves wear/tear on the oil pan drain plug too.
Makes oil changes far less messy! I’m using a piece of the included tubing to direct the drained oil directly into my drainpan (which has a perfect sized hole to fit the tube). Not a drop of oil spilled!

Fits 2017 Kia Sedona - works!
Update 11/2020: Did my oil change and boy was it easy! No more mess and guess work with that oil drain plug and how much thread is left before it POPS off! Clean, easy to use. I did use the hose connector and that made it even easier. The plastic clip that prevents the latch from sliding did not break over a 6 month time frame (snow driving as well). Things did not leak yet, and everything is good so far. As always, will update if things change. With my one use so far, I definitely recommend this for the DYI oil changers out there. I'll easily buy this for all my cars going forward (already did for my 2019 WRX as well - that one uses F108s). Original Review 5/2020: Easy install, just add washer it comes with and tighten (I would hand tighten, then use a 17mm bolt to tighten just a little more - quarter turn). Done. No more splashing of oil when you unscrew the oil drain plug... A dream for those who change oil themselves. No leaks from it, just needed to make sure the valve is locked. The plastic stopper is a nice touch to help with accidental opening, but highly doubt it will accidentally open since it "locks" into place when you turn it to close. Will be keeping my eyes out to see if there are any issues later down the road. But so far, well worth the money. I did purchase the hose and connector for this valve, but since I just did my oil change and now have this installed, I'll update months later when I change oil again to see how effective that is. But it does fit just fine, tested before installing the valve to the car. If anything changes I'll update this review!

Greatest thing since sliced bread!
I have always changed my own oil ever since my first car bought back in 1962. These days, you need a PhD to fix cars but I still enjoy doing oil changes since I know it's done right. One of the worst jobs in the process is getting splashed with oil when removing the drain plug. Even with rubber gloves, it sometimes runs down your arm and almost always drips on the driveway. I installed a Fumoto on both my wife's 2016 Civic and my 2019 Subaru Forester. Installation was 1-2-3. I used the supplied washer and made sure I didn't over tighten as the instructions warned. Also, I made sure I tightened the valve on the body section. They suggested hand tight and then another 1/4th (I think) turn. It worked out well since there were no drips after adding the new oil. I will have to wait for many miles to pass before I'm able to check the drain function. I also ordered the plastic nipple and tubing so there will be zero chance of spilling even .0001 drops of oil when the oil is next changed. This is a life-of-the-car installation so each and every oil change will take just minutes with no fuss nor mess. Highly recommended to all you DIY'ers out there.

Install this valve once and be done with it - no worries about stripping the oil pan threads
Threads on an oil pan aren't made to withstand the many many times the oil drain plug is removed and tightened. The threat of stripped threads is compounded when, in the course of ownership, the car had been brought to the local oil change boutique for oil changes, and the neighborhood high school kid on the weightlifting team has a part-time job doing oil changes there. Sure, you can get an oversized plug when the threads strip, or get one of those expandable rubber plugs for a temporary fix- OR, you can get a FUMOTO valve, install it once, and be done with it. Obviously, it take the place of the oil drain plug, but can also double as a "sampling" valve; or sometimes, when too much oil is added during an oil change for one reason or another, the valve can be opened and any extra oil can easily be removed. Even though I do my own oil changes, I have one on each car I own. No matter how careful one may be, and I'm careful, there's always the good chance that that oil drain plug will someday strip the threads in the oil pan. For me, I'ld rather install a $30 FUMOTO valve BEFORE I hear myself say the ole, shoulda - coulda - woulda.

Great product that I originally gave a mediocre review
Edit: as embarrassing as it is, I'll leave my original review. There was no issue with the item. I was trying to thread it in the wrong direction. I'll blame it on the van being parked in the garage weird so I had to lay differently which means I was trying to thread it left handed. Guess my brain had issue switching sides. Both valves are installed (van and truck) and I am happy but forever embarrassed on the internet. Original: I'm at the end of my oil change and just need to put the F106S in my drain pan before filling the oil and being done. It would not thread in. I verified that the F106 (M14-1.5) should work on my 2011 VW Routan. I then verified that it would work on a same-year Chrysler Town and Country (because they are the same vehicle). I then googled a replacement drain plug for the VW Routan and see it is an M14-1.5 threaded bolt. My conclusion is that the threads are bad. It isn't too noticeable, but it doesn't look quite right... and it is close to grabbing when I go to thread it in. Somewhat luckily, I ordered a second one for my truck, but it is 2 days behind this one for delivery. So, I'm going to wait 2 days to finish the oil change and let my wife drive the truck in the meantime. I'm not happy, but I understand there is no product that comes 100% quality controlled. Luck of the draw. I'll update and change my rating if the second valve actually threads in. If not, I'm coming back here for zero stars for wasting my time and bricking my vehicle for 2 days.

Short nipple is...short
Installed on my 2019 Ram 2500 6.4 L Hemi. Fitment is fine, easy to install, no more messy oil changes. Short nipple is short. I’d get the long nipple version if I were to buy again. Fumoto has a hose kit with little plastic adapters that snap onto the short nipple...I chose to take my chances and just get generic vinyl tubing . It fits, and it stays on the short nipple, but just barely. I chose to hold it on during the majority of the oil draining. If lightly bumped I’m sure it would come off. If you have the room, get the regular/long nipple so you don’t have to worry about the hose coming off. I have a nice big skid plate, so I will probably switch to the long nipple version for convenience after the next oil change.

Time Saver!

Buen producto, calidad excelente.
Excelente, llevo mucho tiempo con el instalado, no me ha dado problemas. Resulta muy comodo el servicio de cambio de aceite con este sistema. Genial.

Makes Oil Changes Trivial
I love how this drain valve makes doing oil changes even faster and cleaner. Just remove the safety clip, open up the valve and wait. No messing around with a socket... dealing with oil seeping out as you loosen it etc. You can even attach a hose to the valve and drain the oil straight into a container. No muss no fuss... no less. The valve is very high quality and has a bit of a double safety for piece of mind that it won't just open up if you go over a bump on the highway. There's a plastic guard that keeps the valve mechanism in place, and you have to push down and across to work the lever to open the valve. It's under tension to stay in the closed position.

Almost succeed.
I bought it because only of the clip feature, without the clip I wouldn't buy it, unfortunately I received a broken clip, so this thing is useless for me without the clip, I gave 4 stars for reliably delivered to me, but for the item quality specially the clip, I want to rate it zero stars.
