New lawn in 1 year with zoysia plugs!!!
I ordered 100 plugs in March 2025 and planted them with basically no prep—just regular watering to help them establish. I was skeptical they’d make much of a difference, but it seemed worth trying instead of spending a crazy amount on sod that would require heavy prep work and constant babying. Now it’s May 2026, and I am SO glad I took the chance on these. The growth has been astounding. Being patient for a year and going with the lower price point was absolutely the right decision. All of my plugs arrived healthy, rooted well, and had no issues establishing—even though I waited a couple of days after delivery before planting them. I planted them willy nilly using a bulb planter and didn’t amend the soil at all. Before the death of my lawn due to a back patio tear-down and rebuild, a brutal late-summer/fall drought, grubs, and heavy dog traffic, I had a healthy St. Augustine lawn so I knew I didn’t have soil issues. The zoysia is noticeably darker, softer, and lusher than the St. Augustine. You can literally see the line on the back slope where the two grasses meet. The zoysia has also held up incredibly well to my dogs and the wear they put on the yard. I’m in central Mississippi, so our summers are extremely hot, sunny, and humid. The zoysia is already starting to spread into the remaining St. Augustine, and I’m hoping it eventually overtakes it as I continue mowing at the lower zoysia height. We’ve also had a colder spring than normal so I’m sure it’ll just keep getting better the further into our growing season. The only treatments I’ve used were a one-time application this spring of grub treatment, soil conditioner, gypsum, and Milorganite to help with the compacted soil after the yard had been bare. I would absolutely do this again and am honestly considering ordering another box to help fill in a few remaining bare spots and speed up the takeover from the St. Augustine. If you don’t want to risk the expense of full sod installation—or deal with all the prep work and maintenance that comes with it—and you’re willing to be patient, I definitely recommend these zoysia plugs.

Great!
Come with instructions! Lol, they don't recommend leaving them in the trays for more than about 2 weeks; mine last a month with continuous watering. They still look great.

YOU CAN’T GO WRONG!
Every one of the 400 plugs I planted are green and thriving. Easy to plant and get out of containers. If you plant them water them as prescribed, you can’t go wrong. Cudos to this company and their product.

Good seller
Got those plugs to fill some spotty areas in my lawn. Not so concerned about uniform looks rather than a nice green cover. I have mainly St.Augustine and here and there some Bermuda. So I figured I'd try something new. Research suggested that the Zoysia should thrive fairly well in the environment I was going to put it in (Southeast Texas - partial sun). The plugs themselves were great. They implanted well and easy. Instructions are good. I have a few that seem to struggle to implant but overall plus 90% definitely rooted out. They just don't seem to strive particularly well. Think my intel might have been bad. And that's also probably the reason why in the area you see mostly St Augustine and sometime a little bit of Bermuda.. So to sum it up. Great seller and probably a 5 star product in the right area, just not for me.

Perfect quality, once established the plugs are flourishing. I’ll purchase more once weather permits
