Very good corkscrew with a double action, which more or less eliminates a broken cork in the bottle.

It’s a simple tool, nothing extraordinary, but it is well made and I like it. Bottle opener is useful and effective - just a shame there is no foil cutter.

I’ve purchased many other corkscrews over a couple of years and found that one of the pivots bend when removing a difficult cork , this one a much better design so that will not be a problem. I wish I had seen this model earlier and saved myself some money. An excellent buy.

When my second or third Screwpull (or similar) lever corkscrew failed, I thought that I'd get one similar to the best corkscrew that I've owned which I was given free by the Vignerons de Chusclan. This one looked even better made and it is indeed very well made and I do like its form. However, the foil cutter is pretty useless; it is too curved and usually shreds the caapsule before getting it off. The first stage of the double action lever that sits on the bottle neck is too deep for most bottles and digs into the cork making a mess of that. What works well is the crown cap opener. You can use it the French way; over the top and down or the british way up and over. I'll continue to use it since I still have a couple of individual foil cutters and although I hate the shredded corks, it does get them out.

It's a little bit "shaky" after few uses.
