Fire-Maple FMS-125 PRO Gas Stove 3200W Windproof Backpacking Stove

The stove is the size of a small Jetboil canister. It's much bigger than a small backpacking stove, but it's my favorite stove for camping. It's every bit as sturdy and stable as the flat stoves with long butane cartridges. I can cook in my huge and heavy stainless steel pan or my Dutch oven, and it stays planted, doesn't wobble and make me nervous. Heats up quick, plenty of flame control, wind resistant too. Sets up in 15 seconds, there's a button to ignite. Saves space in the car, and uses the same cartridges my small backpacking Pocket Rocket stove does. I can see it being a good backup for cooking at home in case of emergency. Can't say the same about my tiny stove. I was looking at similar designs that are cheaper, but went with Fire-Maple because I have friends who've used the brand before. Have been using it for close to a year now, and it's meeting my expectations!

I purchased this stove as a replacement to a larger, propane model I've been using for years. I read great reviews online about Fire Maple and thought I'd give it a try. Day 1 - I dumped my water all over the stove just as I was about to ignite it...so needless to say, the push button ignitor didn't work as planned. However, after tipping the water out of hte stove and blowing the excess water from it, I clicked the ignitor and I was surprised to see it spark right away! I turned on the fuel and tried it again and voila - I had flame! the stove worked flawlessly the entire camping trip (used it multiple times per day for nearly a week. Sipped fuel from my canister and boiled water quickly, even in 44 degrees! I really like the portability of this stove - while not the smallest out there, it is a perfect size to hold large pots and pans and even small ones without being bulky. Would highly recommend it!

I bought this for a long canoe trip and it worked perfectly and efficiently. The only flaw is the lid on the cover is a pain to thread

Giving 4/5. This is almost my favorite butane stove, but since I do a lot of early spring, late fall camping, stoves lacking mini-regulators are noticible. Fire Maple, please make a mini-reg version of this stove. The rest of it is great, esp, the low, rock-solid pot holders, and I favor remote stoves now. For warmer weather, this stove is always in my kit.

Great stove that comes in a case that is actually worth keeping. Stove expands in size to handle everything up to large pots and coffee pots. Folds easily into a compact, clean storage case. Very nice product.

This stove has been the absolute answer to our catch and cook adventures. I wanted something with increased BTU and the ability to use my 10" GSI skillet for fish or boil a 4L pot of water for crab and mussels to feed my family. This FMS-125 PRO is beyond stable with everything I have put on it so far. I have used it on the jetty rocks, on the sand, and on my backpacking table and it has been rock solid. Stability has been very impressive. I have seen reviews stating concerns regarding the legs bending easily. In my experience that is not the case and I have had zero integrity issues with the stove legs. It fits perfect in my pack; the stove in its case and a can of gas is no larger (actually smaller) than my j**boil or other stoves we have tried for catch and cooks. This stove gives us so many more cooking options to enjoy our adventures. The weight of the stove is negligible when you consider what options of cooking and stability it provides. For the types of adventures my family and I regularly are doing, this is our go to stove. We do use an additional wind screen due to the environment we are frequently in (coastal winds are almost always present), but otherwise I would be confident in the stove as is. It will even be getting used on the boat salmon fishing this weekend. Flame control has been really good so far. Temperature control is consistent, however, simmering is a bit tricky, but with the type of cooking we have been doing (cooking fish in a skillet, sauteing mushrooms and boiling shellfish) it has been a rock star. For the price point, we now have the stove in my pack and my wife's. We are looking forward to trying more of Fire-Maple's products because this stove knocked it out of the ball park for what we use it for.

The power of the flame and the stability of the base is outstanding in such a small light package. Comes inside a plastic travel box which fits inside my pots so happy days

Sehr guter Kocher. Weil der Schwerpunkt so niedrig ist, kippt der Topf nicht so schnell wie bei meinem alten, wo der Kocher auf die Kartusche geschraubt wird. Selbst mein großer 5-Liter-Edelstahltopf steht sicher drauf.
