Super reliable SUV Tent
Best SUV Tent we have found. Easy set up (even in the dark). I've had this tent for a year now and have used it 9 times. Reliable, affordable & great quality. Been through a couple storms with it and it was very stable. Super roomy inside for all out gear and we love the screened in porch area. I would buy again. Highly recommend this tent for SUV camping.

Fantastic Tent!! Wish this had been a thing years ago!
If I could, I would give this tent 20 stars! It is very well made, comfortable sleeping, very roomy, fit our van perfectly, easy to put up and amazingly water resistant. We took it on its maiden voyage this weekend - no rain was predicted, but true to Michigan - it did anyway - torrential rain at 4:30 am. Shockingly the only water that came in was from the channels that run from front to back on the roof of the van and then ran down the inside of the doorframe to the bumper. Our son was in the tent portion and stayed completely dry. Not even any leaking through the sleeve. My only suggestion is that all 4 sides would have a door giving an option to enter on each side since there was a tree right outside so we weren’t able to fully extend the overhang of the rain fly. This was not a deal breaker since we went in and out through the screen porch. Next time we’ll flip the fly to protect the window for when it rains. Attaching was pretty easy, once we studied how it was supposed to work - the instructions weren’t the best, but we were able to figure it out easily. Photos show how it worked for us.

Dual purpose and best in price
It is really good setup. Compact and portable with enough space. The storage bag has enough extra space if you pack it loose. All zipper and material is good quality. Highly recommend this product for suv and van car camping

I absolutely love this tent!
I used to put a screen tent on the back of my minivan! I bought this tent and feel like I'm camping in luxury! It wraps around the hatch of the van perfectly. It fit our queen size inflatable sofa bed comfortably. It is heavy, however it is also heavy duty! The instructions were great, which made setup super easy for 2 people. I do recommend using a tent saver tarp under this tent to preserve the floor. What I loved the most was the quality of the stakes to hold the tent down! Best I have ever seen! Would recommend this product to anyone with an suv or minivan! At least check out their tent stakes!

Good so far
I have only so far test set this up on the back of my 2012 Subaru Outback. It seem good quality and fit well. Tip: clean the bottom of your bumper off, I drove up the wet dirt drive way and it was covered in mud and part of the bib tucks around the bumper. I would say that if you are experienced all ready with tents a person should be able to do this on there own. My family was helping but it was pretty quick once we figured it out. The only thing I'm concerned about is the two poles that cross on the top. There is a lot of tension and it is tough to get the rods in and out of the joints they go into. I am a 30 something something women and I'm not a weakling but I had to put a lot of effort into this area. I'm hoping that it will maybe loosen up some, or I can test out different ways to make it easier since I want to be able to be on my own using this thing. Other then that, it seems like it will be a nice addition to sleeping in the car, adding space and what I really wanted, a place to dry of the dog. The directions are not the greatest and setting up the bib part was confusing at first because it's a new concept, I think we watched a video to see what the deal was. And yes the tent will absolutely stand on its own so you can drive away and do stuff which is really nice (or just use the ten it's self) As a side note, seeing that this tent is new and there was only one review when I bought it, I checked out reviews for Timber Ridges other gear and it looks like it a quality reputable company as far as I saw. I will do an update after using it more if it seems necessary.

Awesome tent, not perfect but close.
UPDATE: Used this weekend for the first time and set up was much easier and take down was a cake. HOWEVER, my suspicion of the wind wreaking havoc was correct. This Tent is a sail in the wind, needs more tie downs. All in all, Not a perfect tent. But the best tent I have found so far that meets my criteria. Only done a dry set up in the driveway so cannot yet speak to the durability but it all looks well done so fingers crossed. For assembly and disassembly, I did this solo and it was not easy. Due to it's height, it is not stable until you have all 4 corners assembled. To help I rested one side on the tailgate first which made life a lot easier, otherwise it would have been a pain. Disassembly was easier knowing my trick, but without a tailgate could be pretty tedious. Seems like a lot of stress goes on the top rods and one bad wind while going up or coming down and I'd be worried a rod could snap. The car hookup, very easy. Once built, the tent is very spacious and TALL, I'm 6'4" and man was it nice. My biggest point of feedback would be make bigger windows. They seem unnecessarily small. Same with the vehicle door, could be wider. Outside of that it's a Very good tent. Just be very wary of the wind. This is a skyscraper of a tent and acts like a sail for the wind. I would be very uneasy in a high wind situation.

Tent
It was a great tent... Unfortunately the first night we used it we woke up to wind breaking the tent apart. There's now a hole from one of the poles snapping and a couple more broken poles. So I guess we just lost out on a couple hundred bucks. I think if you use this in perfect conditions it would be great, but we live in Oklahoma and there are rarely ever perfect conditions (it's always windy here), and the first night we used it was in Colorado. Thankfully we still had our old one as a back up. May update with more info and pictures of it up before it tore to pieces.

From Tent to Tiny house.
This tent was way better than I expected it to be. The inside of the tent is so spacious and I was glamping so I needed the room. There was space for everything I owned; cot, chairs, side tables, laundry basket, heater and eventually my camping toilet and projector screen. I had plenty of space to move around , stand up and even my dog, who’s 60lb and half German Shepard, had space to relax. The rain fly kept me dry on the rainy night but some moisture does accumulate in the sides of the tent when it got below the 40’s. That was mostly because of the heater I had running for a few hours before bed. I never had any water collecting inside the tent or under it. Setup was easy, it took some time in the beginning but once you know what to do it gets easier and easier. I love that I can access the trunk of my car which I used for storage. It felt nice knowing at any point I could throw my mattress in the trunk and close it without ever having to walk outside. There are 3 access points and 1 window which was nice. Getting in and out was very easy because the zippers are very sturdy and durable. They never snagged or got stuck on anything which was really nice. The extra bump out was great for my dog to hang in or just to help cut down on bugs, which it did an amazing job at. This was first time camping since I was young and this tent definitely helped me feel comfortable and confident. It’s a great value for the money and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Great little tent
First time camping with 3 kids. I liked the idea of being able to use the back of the car for extra sleeping space so this tent appealed to me. Easy enough to put up with 2 people, even withstood a thunderstorm, only thing to be mindful of the porch area has no ground sheet and just mesh windows so the things we left in there got wet during the night.

well worth it
absolutely super- definitely needs two people to set up. Had a major wind and thunderstorm and it held tight.

Functional .... good ventilation .... roomy .....
The tent handled wind & rain with no issues ..... It is tall , no problems standing up. It fit very nicely on our 2024 CRV . The directions could be clearer with larger pics of how the straps integrate. We set this up on a trial run in the yard in a 30 KMH wind .... that was a challenge for the first attempt but got it up. The straps that connect to the wheels were not easy to figure out but finally got it through trial & error. After a four day trip I still cant figure out what to do with the 2 loose light grey straps. There are 2 straps at the back of the open hatch that I don't know what to with...... but it did fit snuggly around the back of the vehicle. The fly supporting ropes have a slider on them to tighten the tension to stabilize tent ..... the sliders do not hold very well & a better design of those would be recommended. I like the holding power of the 2 suction cups . Exc idea . I could suggest using a Thermocell for 15 minutes prior to going to bed ..... absolutely no mosquitos after that ...... but before using the Thermocell the mosquitos were brutal .... likely got in while setting up. Likely 25 minutes with 2 people to set up ready to use . I am 82 , have camped for at least 75 years & would rate this unit at 4 out of 5. Nothing is perfect . We do like it & would recommend it .

Heckzelt
