I used these to support two shelves in a utility room. The hardware worked well. As noted in the description, the cross brace can be removed to facilitate installation, making it easier to use a screw driver for the mounting points near the angle the bracket. After mounting on the wall and attaching the shelf, the cross brace can be re-installed. As one reviewer observed, the completed shelf is not 90 deg. to the wall. It tilts slightly up from the wall to the edge of the shelf. To me this is minor, and is probably not noticeable if standing in front of the shelf. This could help prevent round items from rolling off the shelf if knocked over. The only reason I did not give a 5-star was the relatively high price. I went ahead an bought it because the positions of the screw holes were just right for the wood I wanted to use.
