I bought this because I wanted a fishing rod that I could easily take with me without having to plan an entire fishing trip. I love the fact that I can collapse it, throw it in the car, and have it with me whenever I happen to find a little time to fish. I'll admit, I wasn't sure what to expect from a telescopic fishing rod. I was concerned that it might feel cheap or flimsy, but I was genuinely surprised when I started using it. It feels solid in my hands, and the reel has been smooth and easy to use. For me, the convenience is probably the best part. There have been plenty of times when I've been out driving and thought, *“I wish I had my fishing pole with me.”* Now, I do. It doesn't take up much space, and I don't have to worry about transporting a long fishing rod everywhere I go. I've really enjoyed using this setup, and it has honestly made me fish more often simply because it's so easy to grab and go. If you're looking for something convenient that you can keep in your vehicle or take on trips, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. I'm very happy with my purchase and would absolutely buy it again.

One of my favorite rods I owned. Very easy to carry around/sneak on the golf course. Once pulled out you really don’t even notice it’s not a regular rod. Never had it collapse on its own while fishing, very strong once setup. Very nice if you have grown out of your kayak and have limited space. Unfortunately it bit the bullet on a snag. Rod snapped before it broke 6lb line. Would buy again. Used for about 2 years.

This is a really nice 6 foot pole combos. Is telescope so really easy to transport. The reel is really smooth with the 12 ball bearings 👌. The spin handle on the wheels can be folded with a press of a button. One down side is the bag they provided only fit the pole, not the combos so you kind of have to remove the reels every time you put them away 😆. But besides that, is a great combos and strong enough for a decent catch.

This is my third collapsable rod from Plusinno and even though I have many other rods, I always seem to favor this one due to its portability and the little space it requires for storage or transport. I take it everywhere while traveling overseas, fits easily in my carry-on on the plane, in my backpack while biking or hiking, on the scooter too, or in my kayak, and often I just keep it in the car which allows me to fish anytime and anywhere. It gets so compact that it makes all the other rods feel just not practical. I’ve caught many fish both in freshwater and saltwater with this rod and the previous Plusinno rods, including striped bass, tautog, largemouth bass, chain pickerel, trout, and panfish. Would highly recommend if you’re like me and you just like the ability to fish on the fly!

Awesome little rod that’s sturdy and portable! Keep in the truck ready to go. The portability is an huge plus. Ultimately you get what you pay for and not going to be catching any big lb fish with this rod, but great to have on the fly or teach the youngins. If you’re just starting out and what something versatile this is the one.

The reel and pole seem like pretty solid quality for the price. It's nice and convenient to expand and then breakdown. Helps with transportation to various spots. Keeping it in the trunk full time so I can fish anytime and not have to have a full sized pole taking up a bunch of room

Really wanted to like this reel and rod combo. Rod seems fine but the reel is the biggest hindrance. Going to swap it out and see if that improves my experience.

****Quick update.**** In the past year I have tried telescopic rods from multiple different manufacturers now (bass pro private label, king cast, EOW, and others) trying to see if there are better options out there. This Plusino combo is still tops in my opinion. Reel is still working, though it is starting to show some age 1 year and 400+ fish later. Bail doesn’t snap closed any longer and bearings aren’t as smooth, but this thing has been in the bed of my truck rolling around since the day I bought it. It still works too. Just landed. 4lbs bass on it this week. The rod however didn’t last the full year. It did snap on me after about 70 or so trips out. BUT, it was not entirely due to an issue the rod. I got one of my favorite lures caught in a tree and spent about 15 minutes trying like crazy to jerk it free. I put way too much stress on the rod tip and it finally snapped. After trying a few other collapsible rods with the Plusino reel, I ended up going back to this same rod. It really is just the best. My original review is listed below and I still stand by it. Completely worth the money. Used this little guy about 20+ trips already and I have been loving it. It was originally just going to be my back up rod, but it is so convenient I keep it in my truck at all times and now it’s the only rod i use. I threw 6lbs spiderwire on it and I can feel everything my lure is doing in the water. Also, feel every little nibble, bite, and I know exactly when the fish is on. Pulled in a couple 1.5-2 pounders on this set up and the fight is just fun. Even that occasional angry runner bluegill makes you feel like you’re reeling in a big ol slab. Super durable so far. I let it roll around the truck bed, pull up to a random spot on the side of the road, drop the line in the water, and have literally had zero issues (knock on wood). Easily landed 100+ fishing ranging from 1/2” guppy to 16” bass and this rig just keeps on working. As I said, I love this thing.

Hi, caught a big fish on this rod. I already own Shamino telescopic rods so I have a direct comparison. This rod snapped off and the fish got away. I also think the diecast reel winder handle is cheap. Don’t buy this product. Spend your money on a mainstream brand.

I like it but one thing i dont when you holding the rod in the his seat something not comfortable and your reel is moving even if you tighten it.

À la réception, la canne semblait vraiment bien conçue. Elle était compacte, légère, facile à transporter et paraissait assez solide. J’étais très satisfait de mon achat et j’avais hâte de l’utiliser. Je l’ai apportée avec moi lors d’une expédition dans le nord de la Colombie-Britannique. Malheureusement, l’expédition a très mal tourné : je me suis perdu dans la forêt et j’ai vécu une situation assez dangereuse. J’ai finalement perdu la canne pendant que j’essayais de retrouver mon chemin. Je n’ai donc jamais eu la chance d’attraper un poisson avec elle. Par contre, jusqu’au moment où je l’ai perdue, elle avait très bien résisté au transport, aux chutes et aux nombreux contacts avec les branches, les roches et le terrain difficile. C’est vraiment dommage, parce qu’elle semblait être un très bon produit. Mon aventure ne me permet pas d’évaluer ses performances avec un poisson, mais je peux confirmer qu’elle était pratique, solide et bien adaptée au transport en pleine nature.

Good telescopic rod. Very compact and fits nicely in a small backpack. Caught mackerel and rod and reel worked well.
