Easy fill, clean water and no soaked messy dripping face!
I recently purchased the Lixit top fill water bottle for my small breed dog that drinks as if he was a horse, and I'm quite pleased with it. The stainless steel tube is substantial and easy to clean, ensuring fresh, clean water for my furry friend. The top-fill design is a lifesaver, as it eliminates the need to remove the entire bottle for refilling. While the no-drip valve is a great feature, I've noticed some minor leaking issues, especially when the bottle is full. Filling it about up only 2/3 seems to work well. However if you tighten the valve, the leaking issue is easily resolved.Overall, the Lixit top fill water bottle is a solid choice for small to large dogs. It's durable, easy to use, and keeps my pet hydrated.

Leaky, lazy manufacturing
This seemed like a good product out of the bag but about 20 seconds in it began where the spout meets the bottle. Once we disassembled it about 3 separate times and washed it, it finally resolved to leak from the ball bearing at the end instead.... It leaked a lot, enough to soak my puppy's ear and side of face while she napped in her crate. The lid is just sat on top and is excessively large to create a friction "seal", so if you're unlucky enough to grab it a bit too high, the whole thing will release from your command and spill its 30+oz of contents on the ground. I didn't expect much for $6 but man I expected a bit more at least. Only upside is puppy took to it easily so now I know I can buy a replacement and she'll figure it out + Amazon gave me a refund (this item isn't returnable, they make you talk to a rep to get a refund.). The connection to the crate is a giant pain in the ass to reposition, and inside the crate for most setups, and could readily be unscrewed (basic thumb screw clamp) by a curious puppy, easily tipping the water bottle over and out. Very lazily designed a manufactured, just pick a better option.

Great useful crate accessory
Great useful crate accessory! I have a 4 month old, 21 lbs puppy that chews plastic cups and thinks flipping over his ceramic water bowl is a fun game. I'd leave his water for overnight in the crate and wake to see all the water on him or him digging at it. It was extremely frustrating and annoying. Finally got this and it's amazingly useful. I do notice a considerable amount of water gone in the mornings.Con:Top cap doesn't seal tightlyNoises at nightLeaks if incorrectly usedPro:All day and NIGHT access to waterCap allows for large ice cubes to be addedFlip cap allows partial refillsInside / outside installationSturdy plastic bottle (44oz)At the moment its on the outside as my puppy is teething. I also have a metal food bowl underneath to catch the leaks the dog's licking causes. My dog presses his teeth against the metal ball while he licks so it's not a problem with the product but how he uses it...Highly recommend this. If you have a medium to larger dog then at least get the 32oz or 44oz, can't imagine using a smaller one.

Cheaply made, but does a good job.
I bought two of these, one for each kennel. I had two goals: to slow down one dog who was drinking so quickly she would vomit afterwards, and to provide water while traveling. Overall, they worked well, but a few points to bear in mind:1. You will have to train your dog to drink out of these. It's not hard, but plan for that and give it a week or two before traveling.2. Of the two, one leaked until I dissembled the nozzle and reassembled it correctly. The shaft that goes between the ball at the end and the rubber gasket was backwards, causing the bottle to leak. Once I swapped it, it was fine. If I'd not had one that was working perfectly, I'd not have known how to fix it.3. The bottles will have mold grow. The nozzle will need to be dissembled weekly and cleaned with hot soapy water. The bottle needs a scrub with a foam bottle brush every day or two. Bristle brushes don't reach the grooves on the inside of the bottle.4. The flat pieces that clamp the kennel wall are plastic and not strong. One shattered when I tightened it too much. I replaced it with a very large washer.Overall, they both worked for what I needed once I worked out the kinks.

Not a long-term solution
Bought this 6 months ago for my boxer puppy because she was making a mess with other bowls attached to her kennel. It was great up until a week ago when it suddenly started leaking. It drips enough that I have to put a bowl under it to prevent her kennel from getting ruined and her from getting wet.
