Why is it not recommended to use the straw with hot liquids

This specific lid is not made for hot liquids. When purchasing either of their other 2 lids, (wide mouth or chug) it can be used for hot liquids

I pulled off the silicone mouthpiece for cleaning and now i can't get it back on. how do i get it back on? also why does it whistle when i drink from

The whistle is from the air release valve (allowing air in, so water can come out). I think I pulled the silicone valve off, too. It wouldn’t go back on because I had it backwards (or upside down), so try to twist it back on and press in- make sure it’s in the right position. I may be confusing with a different one, but I think it should fit back on. Good luck.
