The product's signal goes on and off. It made my kids' cellular data go through the roof because it went out so often. It cost me over $100 in data charges from my cellular company because this product did not work properly.

The KidsWifi has taken all the pressure off of slogging through my router to set up parental controls.
As a dad I want to make ensure my daughter can utilize the internet in a beneficial way without having to look over her shoulder with every site she goes to. The KidsWifi makes this so much easier than what I was doing before. The Pros: Setup was a breeze and all devices connected without a problem. I could easily filter websites and video types that are above her age. But my favorite part is the bedtime feature. Before, I was unplugging my router at 8:30 each night which took the whole family down including the TV (because we stream only). Since we started using the KidsWifi, we are able to set internet off times for my daughter's individual devices without disrupting everyone else. The Cons: I haven't found any problems with it. I can't really attest to the signal strength as we don't have a huge house, but it can get good reception out in our backyard which is probably 65 ft from source.

Has potential but underdeveloped
I've had this device for a week and with more development and support it could be great but in it's current state it's a bit disappointing. I have it connected via ethernet straight to my router so it's not connected to my WiFi but it still has issues with the WiFi network it creates. Connected devices loose connection and most often say "Connected, No Internet" and the KidsWiFi device has to be restarted. Then the parents portal is extremely basic. After using it for 10 minutes I immediately came up with a list of dozens of features that could be added or improved. For starters it only shows the stats of domains that have been allowed, blocked, or filtered. It doesn't tell you when they were accessed, it doesn't let you clear the stats and there are no other statistics beyond that. There is no feature for real time alerts, etc. Also the portal can only be accessed via browser. There is no phone app which is also disappointing. In conclusion, this product needs alot of development to be good.

Great Online Interface
Online interface is great super easy to use. I did encounter issues with it connecting to my router and missed having an instruction booklet (or website to reference) to troubleshoot. But going back to basics - unplugging it and starting over-- I figured it out. Again, the online interface was super easy to use once it was set up, I was able to easily change the name of the server and password in seconds. I also like that the auto default setting was the most secure options available. I like that kid-guests can use this too, and I don't have to worry about what can be accessed.

Good features, but WIFI is unreliable
I wanted to have a way to block my kids from going to bad sites (on purpose or accidentally.) I didn't want to have to set-up parental controls on each device - I wanted something simple. This product is simple and all the features work as expected. The problem has been reliability. Once I set it up, my kids and wife immediately started complaining about not getting a WIFI connection, or losing a connection while streaming a video. My previous WIFI router (an Apple airport) was way better on this front. If this product simply did WIFI well, it would be amazing. I'm now debating if I should try Circle with Disney or some other solution that offers robust WIFI.

Have to reset daily
This would be an amazing product if they could figure out how to keep the signal from dropping. We had to reset the device daily in order for us to connect to the internet. When it works, it's a great product, but resetting every day defeats the purpose for me. I might as well go unplug the router when i don't want my kids online.

Device blocks web pages and can be configured for different age groups
I like this device which can be used as a router and also a WiFi extender. The device does block content in which you can set up levels for different age groups. This was my second purchase, which I sent to my daughter who has younger children.

Where's the email?
To make it work, you need to register it by giving them your email. They then send you an email to link the parent account to control the whole thing. It's been a week and a half and multiple tries, still no email!! So, the thing is worthless. Maybe it would work if their server worked. I'm going to send it back and buy a product with support if I don't hear from them very soon!
