2ish month update. It was great, truly amazing however it stopped working. I think the liquid inside evaporated or the pump stopped working. Regardless I am lowering the review to 1 star as my butt is now warm and uncomfortably sweaty. Old review. Its a good product. The installation is fairly simple and it turns on and gets cool quickly. However, unfortunately, due to its design depending on your weight and how you sit in your seat the cooling effect wont consistently reach your back. For my legs and my rear, its amazing. It gets cold and has turned my long commute from work into a much more bearable trip.

I don't normally write reviews but I was so impressed with this that I just really wanted to. I have not had such a good seat cooler in buying them for over two decades. My experience with car seat coolers: My gf says I always have a hot body temperature. My back and butt always become hot in any seat other than a full mesh seat which unfortunately are not offered in cars. My back would sweat in a car on any warm day. I've probably tried every single car seat cooler sold on Amazon in over a decade because I absolutely hate sweating. I'm a car enthusiast (the car I'm using this product with is my RCF which has terrible built-in seat cooling) and every time I've changed cars (which is a lot, including BMW e30 325i, BMW N55 335i, 987 Porsche Boxster, Miata, 350z, G37 IPL, Lexus GS350, Lexus RCF) I bought a new seat cooler hoping it was better than the last. Most of the seat coolers can be broken down to include these characteristics: - Feels like sitting on hard plastic but blows air decently; Sits soft but barely cools; some have quiet fans and some have extremely loud fans; some broke, some blew fuses, and some were reliable for years. For the most part, all the car seat coolers that use fans never feel cold but, on medium to high settings, they prevented my back area from building up heat and My experience with this product: I used it in the morning and it was instantly COLD! I have never experienced a seat cooler that actual got cold and so fast! I had to turn down the setting to low to make it not as cold. I was blown away. I actually had a mesh lumbar support with a built-in fan (see pic) on the seat cooler because I didn't think the seat cooler would work better than mesh and a fan. I took it off and just shoved a towel behind the seat cooler to create lumbar support. It was much colder than using the mesh fan! It's also nearly silent. Later on, I returned to my car after the sun had been shining on the seat cover. Now it took a lot quite a bit longer to get cold. I guess a fan-based cooler in this situation might cool faster than this, however it will never get as cold as this. So I'll to summarize my thoughts. -This product will get colder than any of the products that only use a fan. -It takes longer to get cold if the liquid in the seat cooler is hot, for example when the car is parked and the sun is shining on the seat cover for an hour heating up the liquid inside the tubes. It would get cold eventually, but it will take like 7 minutes or so. A fan-based cooler could cool faster in this situation as it would immediately blow air at your back. However, the fan-based coolers will never become cold to the touch which this would eventually be. -It is quieter than any fan-based seat cooler I've ever used and certainly quieter than the built-in seat cooler in my Lexus RCF ventilated seats. -It is fairly soft. It's nowhere near like those seat coolers than feel like sitting on hard plastic. It feels not much different than directly sitting on my leather RCF seats which is somewhat firm but soft enough to be comfortable. -If your car seat sits low (like in sports cars), the seat cooler would touch the ground (see pic). It's not a huge deal IMO. My feet are usually reaching for the pedals, not under my seat. If you tried a fan-based car seat cooler and you want something better, definitely give this a try. It was a game-changer for me.

I really wanted this cushion to work well. I have a dysautonomic dysfunction disorder that prevents my body from handling temperature changes properly, so I sweat a lot, especially on my back. I needed something to put in my minivan that would help keep me cool when the seat was blistering hot during the summer. I purchased this item in hopes that it would fit the bill. Initially, my first impression was that the aluminum cooling block at the bottom was very large. And it was. When I strapped it down to my minivan seat, the heat sink was so large that it hit the back of my legs and was very uncomfortable. Also, the rigidity of the fluid tubing made it very uncomfortable to sit on. That area is also fairly narrow, and centered itself in my back which was uncomfortable. If the temperature in the car was below about 80° fahrenheit, it would start to feel noticeably cool within about 10 to 15 minutes. But if the interior of the car was any hotter than that, and it always was on a summer day, then it would take well over 30 minutes in order to cool off enough to be felt. So I ended up sweating on it more than I would my seat as I waited for it to cool off. I've had better success with more traditional mesh based backrest cushions that simply keep your back off the seat back to allow for more airflow. Also, the power and setting adjustment button being underneath my right leg was awkward, and there were a few times where I accidentally cut the unit off completely without realizing it. I give it two stars for functionality, and comfort. I chose to go with a more traditional fan based airflow back cushion, and have had much better results.

It works, works way better than the seat covers that have a fan. It is absolutely silent. I have always had a fast metabolism and as such, I sweat a lot. My body temperature is always higher than normal, I use special sheets, I have to sleep alone, fan going on full blast over my bed. Unfortunately my car does not have cooling seats. I used to have a KIA that had them and it is my most missed feature. In fact, once I sell this car, my next car will definitely have cooling seats. But in the meantime, I needed a solution for my daily 100 mile drives. Even with textile seats and the AC going strong, I was uncomfortable in my seat after only 10, 15 minutes. Pros: 1. Keeps you cool. I no longer need to keep my AC blasting to be comfortable. I can drive more hours without needing breaks. Driving an EV you try to extract as much out of that battery, this allows me to use less the AC, uses very little 12v power, and cools instantaneously. It is so efficient, I have never used it on full power, I keep it in mid to low. 2. It is a quality product. It is well built, although I don't think this is "real Italian leather" but honestly I don't care. Cons: 1. Probably the most expensive seat cover out there, it is on par with a real Australian sheep skin. I only selected this because I thought it would come with two, but it is only one. 2. Not the most confortable. Because of the big crease on the middle, you feel it right on your but. And the center strap is not strong enough to pull it tucked into place. Also, the straps are your regular expandable straps, they wont last. Particularly the one on the center. If given the choice, I would probably buy instead a real Australian sheep skin, which is something I had on my BMW and worked great for the Texas summer, but I do recognize this cover does what it is supposed to do, which is to keep me cold. I wish it was thiner, and maybe the fluid channels less pronounced, particularly the one on the crease. I will play around trying to adjust it. Bottom line, it works, it works way better than any other seat cover that is supposed to keep you cool. It is whisper quiet, in fact, the various systems constantly running on my Tesla make a lot more noise than the seat. But, it is not the most comfortable. Certainly much more comfortable than not having it, but it could be better. I also wish it was at least 20 to 30 dollars less.

I bought this to help cool down on hot days. It works just okay in that regard. If you leave this in your vehicle on hotter days, it'll take basically as long as the AC takes to get cool for this to get cool as well, as the water holds a ton of heat. The bigger issue for me is that the product is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. I drive a Honda Civic, it does not go all the way across the seat, so you wind up sitting on top of the controls. Which can be less than ideal as you may accidentally turn it off or turn the cooling down. Additionally, the fan at the bottom seems like it is meant to tuck under the seat, but it cannot tuck under the seat, as the bottom piece with the fan is not long enough. I assume this may be an issue with other vehicles as well, but as a result, it kinda sticks out forward. Only an issue if you tend to tuck one leg back while driving, but it definitely gets in the way of that. It is fairly comfortable overall, but you can still tell you're sitting on something that isn't really a seat. Haven't noticed any issues with comfort over 45 minutes of driving or so.

I just bought a new car and for the time being the AC doesn't work. Bought this guy both for that reason and that the car trim only came with heated seats. Setup: incredibly easy and intuitive. It's like most other seat cushions. Just a clip for the headrest, lumbar clip, and some to connect the bottom underneath the seat. The car port plug in is easy and plenty long of a cord for just about any vehicle. It even has a usb on it so you can still use the car port to charge your phone. Performance: so immediately after setting it up I set it to the coolest setting and it wasn't doing anything(or at least very little.) But I was just being impatient. Within a couple minutes it had fully turned on and was working wonderfully. I genuinely think that this may be one of the best seat coolers on the market. It is noticeably cooler and almost darn near silent. The claims if it dropping 10-15 degrees cooler than without is (while I haven't pulled out a temp gun) very accurate. We'll worth the price point. Might get a second for my passenger seat. Comfort: It fits very well in my seat. I drive a 2019 impreza and sitting there I don't even notice it. I find it more comfortable than my leather seats but that may just be a personal preference. It's designed well and I don't really have any complaints. It works so much better than a standard cheap seat cooler that just uses fans to blow ambient air around. If you really are looking for a seat cooler that works I highly reccomend you give this one a try.

Ordered July 18th, today is September 22nd. It worked well for a while and was nice to have on the hot days. I got to work today with a big stain on the back of my shirt. Sure enough this thing sprung a leak. For the price, only lasting 2 months is crazy to me. Maybe I got a bad one but I don't want to risk it again. I'd really like my money back. Update: The company refused to give me a refund and instead sent another seat cover. I haven't needed it until now because it hasn't been warm enough. Installed on my lunch break today and was looking forward to having a cool seat on the way home. Of course the thing doesn't work, brand new out of the box. The fan turns on but the fluid doesn't pump through. Absolute garbage, 0 for 2. And there's no option in product assistance for any replacement or refund. What a joke. Thanks for the $110 trash.

It works great but leaks after around 6 months I suspect that people are leaving the seat cover on in the winter and the fluid freezes and then leaks. I'm going to take this apart and see if I can find the issue and a fix.

DO NOT BUY. THIS UNIT LEAKED AFTER ONE SUMMER OF USE! Contacted seller who denied me any replacement or refund. It is in brand new condition. I take care of my stuff. It was not abused or misused. Never again!
