Picked this up to mount my phone on top of my camera for behind-the-scenes shots and it works exactly as advertised. The magnet is strong — locks my iPhone in place with a solid snap, no wobble even when I’m moving around. MagSafe alignment is perfect. Build quality is what you’d expect from SmallRig. All metal, feels heavy-duty, no plastic anywhere. The cold shoe mount slides into my camera’s hot shoe cleanly and tightens down with no play. Also has a 1/4-20 thread on the bottom so I can stick it on a tripod or cage too. Setup took literally 10 seconds. No tools, no fuss. Phone goes on and off in a second which is great when I need to switch between filming and texting. Only thing to note — if your phone doesn’t have MagSafe or a MagSafe case, this won’t work. I’d recommend grabbing a magnetic ring sticker if you’re on Android. For the price, it’s a no-brainer for anyone doing dual-camera content or BTS work

If you’re stationary or using it carefully indoors, it’s perfectly usable. But for more active shooting situations, moving rigs, quick repositioning, or anything involving bumps/vibration, I found myself wishing the magnet had a bit more holding power for extra confidence. Especially with heavier phones or thicker cases, the grip doesn’t feel quite as locked-in as some competing mounts. If SmallRig improves the magnetic strength in a future revision, this would easily be a perfect 5-star accessory. For now, I’d give it a solid 4 stars. Very useful piece of gear — just not quite as secure magnetically as I hoped.

Super comfortable and super convenient, only wished it was a bit longer and was able to swivel since I have the pro max version having it vertical is a bit uncomfortable and you can’t pivot it to the side to have more space. But it is stable, solid and easy to use, also the magnet is strong. On the image you can’t see much but on the right side there’s a small part that showed how it looks on the camera.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this to use with my DJI RS4 Pro. The phone mount that came with the Combo package was not big enough to hold my S24 Ultra in a case. I have the i-Blason Armorbo case. I previously bought the SmallRig Phone Support for DJI Stabilizers, Adjustment Phone Mount Adapter with 1/4"-20 Threaded Hole, Cold Shoe for DJI RS 4 Mini/RS 4 Pro/RS 3 /RS 3 Pro/RS 3 Mini/RS 2 / RS C2 / R S/R SC - 4301 but it also wasn't big enough to hold my phone. The build quality is very sturdy and the price is great for what you get. Magnet strength: This mount works really well. I have no issue with mounting my phone onto there and the magnet holds really good. The only thing is that you have to be weary about storage and making sure it doesn't get close to your SD cards or Hard drive! Value for money: The price is excellent for the quality that you get.

This is perfect for iPhones when using them as a monitor on my Sony cameras. I have SmallRig cages as well. Fit is perfect and these are sturdy and adjustable but they do not swivel left and right. Just up and down and cant up and down.

I think this is one of the best phone mounts for iPhone, the magnet is super strong and hold the phone tight, never felt like it was going to fall off or anything. The mounting options for tripods or hotshoe of cameras is endless. Built quality is world class, worth the money

La calidad de construcción es indiscutible. Muy buena como nos tiene acostumbrados la marca. El imán del Magsafe es mas que suficiente, ¿que me hubiera gustado un poco más fuerte? Si, pero cumple bien las expectativas. El enganche en zapata fría es perfecta. Recomiendo el producto sobretodo si usas tu iPhone como monitor.
