The product is great. The price not so much. Thought I was saving over the local box store but was the small can. My bad in a hurry and did not notice the size.

This is a great product but, they sent walnut instead of oak. I hope they send the right one this time.

I did not get the results I was hoping for. Because this product is mixed (stain & poly) it seems that if you don't not mix this consistently, you won't get great results. Wish I would have just done it in two steps.

Streaky application. Had to put on multiple coats to minimize the streaks. Ended up with something more opaque then I’d hope for.

I was skeptical that this would cover previously stained wood but it does. It will take more than one coat though. I do recommend sanding the surface as much as possible but you don’t need to sand down to the bare wood. It might take up to three coats to get the desired black finish. I did use regular stain in the same color for my first base coat on bare wood then finished with two coats of this.

I was looking for a new black dresser to replace a 20 year-old oak dresser. However, after searching online for a dresser, I couldn't find a decent one for less than $400. Plus, I couldn't figure out how I was going to get the giant oak monstrosity down the stairs and to the dump without paying someone. Ultimately, I decided maybe I could just give it a nice black finish. After some research, I purchased this product because it was an all in one stain and finish. It went on like paint more so than stain (but that may be because I didn't sand down the original finish well enough). Nevertheless, I think it turned out pretty well!!

It’s my own fault for not checking the can ounces but heads up this is a tiny can! Luckily a little goes a long way (it’s way cheaper at the hardware store though).It’s also way redder than the reference photos show. I was expecting a cool toned walnut, this is way warmer toned.

While the headline does specify "1/2 pint", the label on the first two product images doesn't show quantity, and the third image shows a much larger 32 oz can.The product cannot be returned, because it's flammable.Hopefully, this review will help people understand what they are truly getting. It's disappointing to pay $80 (txs included) for such a ridiculously small product.
