I have two cats, one of which is a large (not fat) 15 pounder. This is a bit small for him, but the other cat (12 pounds) loves it. It's also relatively sturdy, with the 2 year old granddaughter being able to walk on it without damaging it.

Even having/knowing the measurements from the prod description, these are still but smaller than I expected. But I like that these are no-frills. I don’t need some brightly decorated or extra built-up base. When the cats have scratched this down over time, this can easily be recycled. For the price, I think this is a good product.

This is the 2nd time I have purchased this it. My cat destroyed the 1st one after 1yr. But that is what is supposed happen when it is used multiple times a day. The one negative are the little card board pieces everywhere.

Cannot figure how to put this darn thing together and I've searched the internet looking for directions AND can't even find how to contact the manufacturer!!! It's good quality, my husband ended up taping it and that is not the way it should be.

I am sooo glad that I got these! From the time I set them out, she’s used them multiple times a day. We just moved into a new house and got new furniture, and she would scratch on the couch from time to time. Since we got these, I haven’t noticed her even once scratching on it. She just automatically goes to the this scratcher, time and time again. I did put the catnip on it the first day, but haven’t since then (I’m not sure how I feel about giving them catnip). If you’re in doubt about these, just by them....my cat, at least, totally loves them. I only wish I had gotten them years ago! P.s. I’ve had the one out for about three weeks now, and it’s still in really good shape. Sometimes, I’ll find little pieces of cardboard on the floor, but figure I’d rather sweep those up than have my couch ruined!

These are nice in general. They definitely serve their purpose... nice size, good scratch potential. Comes with catnip which was a bonus for my kitten. However, they have NO weight to them. My kitten ends up pushing the thing all over the room trying to scratch it. He makes due by sitting on the top and reaching down towards the bottom. Using his own weight to hold it still... but then he can’t stretch the way he wants to. So essentially, it needs a heavy base/case to hold it still. We had a different one previously which he wore out. But it was encase in a heavy box type thing which we still have, but it’s not the right shape or size.

My cat loves that this scratcher comes in a pack of two. Now he has one in the bedroom and the living room. He also appreciates the pack of cat nip enclosed! These are sturdy, recyclable and quick to put together. They ship flat so if you only need one at a time the 2nd will store in a small space. This is only the 2nd scratcher my senior boy has approved in years of trying and donating others he swore weren't quite right. They may all look similar to me, but not to him. As long as he's happy, I'm happy.

I have 4 cats in the house and I knew my cat specifically would appreciate a scratch post with an incline. Turns out everyone else loved it too! These were super easy to assemble. I thought they were a bit pricey but not terribly so. They're sturdy and hold their shape well as different cats hop on and off, and launch themselves to other endeavors. I will definitely be buying again once mine are worn out. Each of my cats have different personalities and some don't like cat trees or toys as much, but these scratchers were one thing they all could agree on
