Nintendo Labo: Vehicle Kit (Nintendo Switch)

We purchased the Labo: Vehicle Kit for Nintendo Switch for my 7 year old son for Christmas. He hadn't asked for it but we wanted to get something different from all the Lego etc he'd had been adding to his Christmas list.Having read reviews since it's release this seemed like the best option as the games seemed to be better and the final models looked like something he would enjoy.We started on the steering wheel and pedal. I was impressed with the quality of the instructions, using the switch itself to display and run through them at your own pace. Detailed and accurate and fun to build. My son happily built the steering wheel with minimal help (stickers, rubber bands and blue string aside) and started playing the adventure mode.The discovery section that explains how the Joy con work within the Toy con models is very interesting and even these bits have kept him interested in what else he could do.All in all a fantastic product that surprised me in how well it worked and kept my son interested much longer than many other toys/games he's had.

My son absolutely love thisAt first I felt like this was the most expensive cardboard I’ve ever purchased but the joy it gives my little one, it’s worth every penny!We under estimated how long it would take to build lol but it was enjoyable constructing it all togetherIt’s very clever and we’ve had hours of fun playing on it and have ordered the variety set for his bday!Can use the steering wheel for Marino kart too!

A great toy but once the cardboard controls are built the space needed to store them, especially the steering wheel & submarine was too much for my child’s bedroom which is a reasonable size. My son has enjoyed playing with the vehicle kit but as he now rarely bothers with it & it’s taking up storage space, it is off to the dump for recycling.Such a shame

Just brilliant! My 6 year old son loved building this. I only had to help him with some trickier parts that need 2 people. He had as much fun building it as he does playing with the finished project. The only screen instructions are a joy to follow and make it so much fun. An ingenious idea from Nintendo. My only worry is how long lasting it will be being made from cardboard.

My 8 year old built it himself with the brilliantly demonstrated instructions which are controlled at the pace you wish to go at. The instructions are clear. The material is very well presented and of good quality. There was no confusion, and the end results were surprisingly good.I’m not normally that impressed with most “kit” type activities aimed at children but this one is really really good!If you have a switch and an 8-12 year old I’d say this is a great gift.He loves it and I do too as it’s rare that I see him pleasantly surprised with his accomplishments.

Bought this for my son’s 9th birthday after reading the reviews and so happy I did. He absolutely loves it. He spent ages making all of the toys (it does take a long time but he loves the building - you can often find him building Lego!). This is such a superbly designed concept. The whole thing is just brilliant. It was a bit of a gamble as it wasn’t on his “list” but am so pleased with it - and most importantly, so is he!!! I would say - it’s a bit fiddly and takes some concentration. I wouldn’t go much lower than age 8 unless you are keen to give lots of help!

I would recommend this for a little brother or a fan of the switch as it will literally keep them occupied for hours as the cardboard takes ages to set it up but its so worth it and cool after it is done properly and lasts a long time and is relatively easy to fix if something breaks but keep in mind this requires normal switch joycons and wont work with different company controllers.

Disappointed with this item bought for my Grandson. There is a sheet missing so he cannot finish... there is no support or replacement to buy on the Nintendo website, this kit is now out of stock!
