Good microwave at a cheap price and the least frustrating child proof lock
I bought this microwave primarily because, after 75 years of commercial availability, the intelligence level of our society has collapsed to the point that it intersects with the mad rush to have the government regulate everything. Now, microwave ovens are required to have childproof locks on the doors—even in households and other environments that never see children. This model has the idiocracy built right into the handle, letting me trigger the childproof feature in the same step I use to open the door. It allows me to pretend we don’t live in a dystopian world ruled by bureaucrats. All the other microwave ovens I looked at use a two-step process that would only frustrate people who just want to open a darn microwave door. This model comes with a warning sticker on the door explaining how to open it. If you're a landlord or have a VRBO, you'll want to leave the sticker on because otherwise somebody is going to rip the handle off trying to get the door open, or maybe even go the nuclear option and try to pry it open with a knife. People aren't going to stand there trying to solve a microwave rubicks cube at the expense of their Hot Pocket getting cold. Even when it's for the children! I have no doubt this microwave is actually using all 700 watts of its rated power. It outcooks the 700-watt Sunbeam it replaced—the little ray of sunshine that opened either by pulling the door or pressing the huge “open” button, without any needless bureaucratic hurdles or handles standing in the way. A microwave oven from a more civilized age. My only major complaint about this microwave is that the keypad requires superhuman strength in the fingers to register that a button has been pressed. I recommend putting your shoulder into it and letting your body weight do the work to avoid getting an injury. The microwave needs to be up against a wall to use it because the force required to use the keypad will push the microwave back until there is something to stop it, and then you need to keep pushing until it beeps. And if you want, for example, to hold the "4" button down for it automatically start for 4 minutes instead of pressing 4-0-0-start, you have to maintain Herculean pressure against the 4 button for several strenuous seconds, straining to keep your knuckles from buckling like you're trying to hold an entire set of encyclopedias against the wall using only the strength from a single finger. And I mean all the encyclopedias. From A to Z. It's easier to do 4-0-0-start so frankly that feature requiring the encyclopedia maneuver is worthless. I suppose the manufacturer is trying to future-proof their microwaves against full-blown microwave tyranny, where even the buttons would have to be childproof, because frankly, these buttons already are. The microwave works well, it looks sleek, it is the proper size and noise level for it's wattage, it needs to be up against a wall, and the child-proof door opening mechanism is the best in it's class.

Great little microwave
Love the compact counter saving size. Good quality, works as intended. Lower wattage so don’t expect fast cooking. I use for reheating anyway so that is fine. I like the locking door feature. I have a cat that likes to get into things. Small children would be discouraged from opening also. Quiet operation, easy to clean with removable glass turntable plate. This is a steal!

Great value for the price...
It’s exactly as described, with a sleek, modern design that looks great on the counter and a perfect size for everyday use without taking up too much space. One of the best things about it is how easy it is to use right out of the box. The controls are intuitive enough that you don’t even need to read the instructions to get started, and the one-touch options make heating food quick and simple. I have not used all the features like defrosting yet but it has not disappointed. The child safety lock built into the handle is a unique feature. It took a little getting used to at first, but once you understand how it works, it’s actually a nice added safety feature. Overall, this is a solid, reliable microwave that does exactly what you need it to do. Great value for the price and definitely a purchase I’m happy with.

Surprised by the quality and power.
I never owned anything from this manufacturer before, went out on a whim and bought their 6qt. air fryer along with the microwave. I enjoy both products. The lock button on this is in a decent spot. The door is translucent when the light is on, was iffy on that because the pictures provided on amazon show it as black. I was glad to find that the interior is viewable. The finish is of good quality. Not very loud. Buttons could use some work, have to apply a bit of pressure. Other than that, it's a great microwave.

Works great
Xlnt for the price. Size is perfect, not too big, not too small. Good power. Quiet. All the functions needed + more. Door is different to open, & I like it more than the standard push button. Working great.

Mostly quite good
Nice, inexpensive microwave. Only cons so far, buttons are a little finicky need a decent amount of pressure, and the inside doesn't vent well. Mad waft of steam when you open and insides need to be wiped down. But no game killers here. Good for the price.

Very happy with this compact microwave.
I am very happy with this little microwave. I didn’t find the buttons hard to press like some people mentioned. I like the choices on the presets. I just received it today and used it to heat my supper up and it worked perfectly. It is quite small, but that’s fine for me, my previous microwave was quite big and I only really used it to heat things up anyway. I bought the Chefman specifically because I had just bought one of their air fryers and I was so pleased with it. I thought I’d stick to that same brand. I think it’s great value for money and does exactly what it says it does.
