ESV Outreach New Testament, Large Print

Without getting into translation arguments (and the ESV is a fine one, as are others), the very inexpensive printing has a perhaps unintended feature namely that when one turns to any page, both sides lay flat. That makes it easy for reading and highlighting (with pencils--a yellow highlighter would bleed through the thin paper). The font is bigger than typical, hence they call it "large print" but it is not super large. Overall it's large enough even for weaker eyes and yet small enough that it keeps the NT book a handy size. It has two different reading guides, verse-by-verse by day and topical. This feature, its low cost and readability, makes it suitable for giving out to people who may not be Bible readers, or Believers. I wish I knew to prescribe this printing format for self-publishing one's own books. Crossway, the publisher does not provide such information...and should.

The best book around! Cant give this to anyone with sight difficulties though. It is advertised as large print, but the letter size is the standard size you’d find in any ol’ book. Please increase the letter size.

Great handout for median location panhandlers, low cost allows for enough $ insert at handout.

Not a super large print, but definitely readable! An. easy, compact , comfortable way to share this great translation of the beautiful Word of God !

Print-small but mighty. A challenge to read in sentences. Everything double spaced. I guess i expected better, but its still Gods word. Whats the point of comfort print yet so small. Cheap.

This NT is just right for getting a few to give away or to have extras to use for a Bible study group. Inexpensive but well made. Large enough to be easy to use while still being convenient and lightweight. Font size is perfect. Pages are mass market paperback off-white, but the contrast with the black type is good and there is no bleed through.

It's hard to hold a heavy book and try to read it heavy, sleepy eyes, so I thought I'd try a large print of just the New Testament to help with the early morning reads. It's been great! I'm only in my 20s, but this decision proved very helpful even though it's only a size bigger than my good bible.

Completely useless as a large print Bible. If it had been advertised as regular size print, it would be fine. My mother cannot read it.

I am Secular Catholic Agnostic, but was encouraged by a close friend of my family to try reading 'the good book'! This version is really easy to read, so it's easy to dip in and out of it when it suits. The price of this item was surprisingly low! It also arrived on time in mint condition. No complaints! Thanks!

Good for value but font is not very big

My rating obviously isn't about the Bible itself. That is flawless. It's about the print. It says "large print" which is what I needed as my eyesight is failing. This was just a little bit better than my normal Bible. Better than regular print but it didn't work for me. I'll still be on the lookout for an ESV new testament with giant print as those are really great for older eyes.
