I can't believe these are Maruchan!
I never in a million years would have thought that I would be all about some Maruchan noodles because I've never been a fan but here we are. I bought these because of the price. I figured worst case scenario I could toss the seasoning packet and use some Hoxy Korean ramen seasoning if I didn't like them but that didn't happen. I usually buy Buldak noodles but I find their sauce packets to all be way too spicy, to the point you can't taste any other flavor, so I typically use half the packet or use Hoxy. Well I had a good feeling about these. Maruchan being a mainstream brand, I couldn't see them putting the spice over the top despite the fire moniker... Right? Well, I was right. I added my usual chives, a dash of worcestershire sauce, and a pouch of Starkist lower sodium chicken and boiled it down until there was no water left so I had a nice thick sauce. From the first bite, I was hooked. The noodles are on the level of Buldak, the heat is perfect, they're lower sodium than Buldak too. All you really have to do to get a good noodle is figure out the optimum cook time to hit 3 minutes on the noodles (for al dente) or 4 minutes (for a softer noodle) or just drain the excess water when you get to your desired noodle consistency. These noodles would stand up against any ramen I've ever had and win. They're chewy, they're thick, they're springy, easy to cook. Do yourself a favor and buy these noodles. Use an induction burner and you have a fast meal, we're talking under 5 minutes, and you can toss anything you like in them to make it your own. I highly recommend adding some protein and I think next time I make these I'll toss in some frozen vegetables.

Great flavor
These taste amazing. Just be warned you need to love spicy foods as it is quite spicy

Delicious but hot! Not really “soup”.
Delicious but so hot I can’t eat it as directed. But add plenty of veggies and protein, then 1 package is good for two people. Also, since this calls for half the water of regular ramens, the result is a bowl of hot noodles but not a soup. Perfect for a fork or chopsticks but no need for a spoon.

Verified Purchase ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I Saw the Face of God, and He Tasted Like Sodium and Lava
Let me start by saying that I am not a weak man. I put hot sauce on my eggs, I order my Thai food at a level five spicy, and I routinely laugh in the face of jalapeños. But this Maruchan FIRE Spicy Beef flavor? This is not food. This is an chemical weapon masquerading as comfort cuisine. I bought this expecting the usual, gentle Maruchan warmth—maybe a nice little tickle at the back of the throat. Instead, I took one bite and my entire kitchen immediately faded to black. I could hear my ancestors whispering to me from across the veil, asking me why I had chosen this path. My eyes didn't just water; they wept for my past mistakes. My tongue felt like it had been violently attacked by a swarm of radioactive hornets. I had to eat a slice of bread just to remind myself what a normal temperature felt like. The broth is thick, deep red, and smells exactly like a tire fire outside of a volcano. Yet, through the intense heat and the temporary loss of my ability to taste anything for the next 48 hours, the noodles remained strangely delicious. It clears the sinuses, provides a wild culinary adventure, and offers a legendary spicy challenge for less than a dollar a pack. If a pleasant, relaxing lunch is the goal, stay far away. If the goal is to test the limits of spice tolerance while sweating through a shirt at 1:00 AM, add to cart immediately. 5/5 Highly recommend.

Meh
Little heat. Quite salty. The noodles are slimy. Weird texture.

Not goood
These are my kids favorite noodles. They lasted over a month in my house because no one ate them.. the new recipe or new flavors do not taste good at all. They taste nothing like the bowl that they come in.. I will say that they are easily prepared because my 13-year-old makes them on the stove by himself, but this particular one does not taste like the original

Good
My favorite flavor! They stopped selling these at my local grocery store for over a year so i was glad to see them still being sold online.

Not Tasty
Spice level is very high white person spicy, you will be breathing fire. That's not why I didn't like it tho. It has a weird charred taste, acrid like it's been burnt. Not smokey, just harsh and kind of sour. Adding cheese kind of helped but not enough to make it edible and I hate wasting food.
