ALDRICH 5 Inch California King Box Spring Heavy Duty Mattress Foundation

I needed a box spring for a Little Tykes race car bed. Box springs can vary greatly in price, and I was looking for a reasonable priced one. When I saw this one I decided to give it a try; and I was very happy with the results. he box springs come unassembled and include the tools needed to assemble it. Assembly was quick and easy, and the cover went on with no difficulty. The final product was very sturdy and comparable to much more expensive box springs. One thing I liked was it is relatively light weight, if a bit bulky, so I could lift it and put it in th ebed by myself. The only problem I had was some of teh cross bars came loose while I put it in place, since teh drop in and are not screwed down, but they were easily put back in place. In use it provides a good stable base for a mattress. Overall, I think this is a great value at the price and recommend it to anyone looking for a good sturdy box spring.

Update 4/21/2025: Just wanted to give a "final" update that things are still working well and I'm sleeping better than ever without any worries. I can jump on to the bed without ever feeling like something will break or cave in and can wholeheartedly recommend this if you are just looking for a solid foundation vs the traditional wood box spring. I have 0 issues with the mattress above this foundation slipping as well, which was a problem with my old box spring. This review will likely no longer get any updates unless I encounter any issues Update 12/3/2024: The frame has remained solid and I've slept better than before and have 0 concerns with durability so far. I also liked that it is shorter than my previous 9 inch box spring and is easier to get on and off the bed since it is lower to the ground. Also, previously my mattress had a huge dip where I laid on it due to the broken box spring caving in the mattress along with it, but I'm happy to report that it is now almost flat and you pretty much can't tell that it was ever caved in before, almost as soon as I laid the mattress down on the new foundation. One thing I noticed is that it is not exactly "no noise". I don't hear any noise when I'm laying on the bed or with minor movements, but I do hear noise if I jump on the bed or "rock the bed" so to speak. This isn't an issue with me, but do beware if you are looking for a no noise solution, this may not be it for you. However, if you are just looking for a super durable mattress foundation, I still wholeheartedly recommend it. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Everything is in the box and the instructions are simple and very easy (it's not complicated to put together to begin with). Lifting up my mattress to replace the box spring was the hardest part. There's not a lot of screws (though they are all hex screws), so the instructions are more than good enough and the cover slips on really easy too. Be prepared for some lifting and make sure to have plenty of time and space though. I barely have any space in my room and I had to assemble most of it over my bed before standing it up and dismantling the bed. The process will go a lot faster if you have your own tools, but the tool included does the job ok. Once built, it feels super sturdy. There's not a lot of springiness since there's no springs, so if you don't like a stiffer bed to lay on, you might prefer traditional box spring, but the full metal construction of this does feel more solid and feels like it'll last waaay longer. The lower height also is nice when getting out of bed. I will report back if durability becomes a problem, but right now it doesn't feel like that will be an issue

Great product. Sturdy and easy to build. We got a used one so it didn’t have the instructions manual but my husband managed to build it without out it. I did request the manual through support and they replied instantly. The size is true, fits my king mattress and cloud bed frame.

I honestly hate writing bad reviews, but this box spring has way too many misleading “positive” reviews. First, assembly was annoying even with the instructions. We get a lot of our stuff from online. So, we are used to putting things together. This wasn’t particularly “difficult”, just annoying. Second, stop saying it is non slip. MANY people have stated (even in the positive reviews) that this box spring slips. Not only does it slip, but it has ruined my king size bed frame on the bottom right corner. There should be some sort of non slip on the underside of this thing. Even if it is just plastic covers over the corners. When it slips to the left or right the box spring (because it is fully open on the underside with the exception of one metal piece down the middle) the box spring drops over the lip of my frame and has now ruined the material on my brand new bed frame. I bought a $100 bunkie board that I haven’t received yet, but I should have to spend more money on the support than I did on the daggon box spring. It makes no sense. Not when it is advertised as “No Slip”. I hate the engineering of this thing. I don’t believe that any good engineer came up with this. In fact I believe that they were open and honest about what would happen if they cut corners and they did it anyway. DO NOT BUY THIS! Go to a store or keep looking around online for something with support on both sides of the box spring.

Hi! I just determined that I'm going to do my best in writing reviews on Amazon so that I can be part of the Amazon Vine program, so here is a detailed review of this product with pictures included. 1st picture: Here were all the parts that came with this package, and make sure that all parts are covered in plastic wrappings to ensure that you are getting a new product. (The first time that this product arrived at our location, the outer packaging was ripped, the plastics covering some of the parts were missing, so we had to replace it with a new product). 2nd photo: When you open the red package, it comes with a detailed set of instructions and tools & supplies that are needed to build them. All necessary parts were included, and the directions were a little hard to understand. 3rd photo: For this one, the picture shown in the manual, and the actual parts don't really match up perfectly when visually looking at it close-up. It takes a little bit of time to get used to, and how you connect each part matters (whether it is pointing up or whether it is pointing down), so take your time doing it. For me, I had to redo some of the parts since I connected them upside down, and in total, it took about 50 minutes to assemble everything together. Also, if you are lacking arm strength, this takes force to make sure that each part is well-connected to the rest, so if you don't want to put in that much effort, I would recommend that you would look at something else for your buy. For us, price was all that mattered, so based on the pricing, this product was a great deal. 4th photo: Since this was factory-made in China, there were some points where the connected parts didn't actually line up perfectly. Since some parts were welded a little bit off, I had to brute force my way through it on some parts. 5th photo: This was one thing that I really liked since products that need assembly sometimes come with just the parts that are needed to assemble that product and no spare parts. However, I was pleased to realize that in addition to all the necessary parts, there were several extra parts that I could use for backup. So this was a big plus for me. 6th photo: Here is the product almost in its final stage (I've completed steps 1, 2, and 3, and there is only step 4 left). The frame itself is really sturdy since I tightened the screws really tightly, and so far, I have no complaints regarding this product. 7th photo: This frame was going to go on top of the bed frame for my son, and this twin frame fit perfectly, and even though there was some wiggle room on the side, we were pleased with this product since we wanted a frame that would lift the bed from the touching the floor. 8th photo: This is the assembled product in all of its glory! Nearly spent an hour building this product, and when it was finished, the bed frame would look like this. This product also came with a bed frame cover, but I didn't put it on the frame yet since we were putting it through the washer. 9th photo: The metal rods didn't fit in the slots perfectly on some of them since as I have said before, the build quality is on the cheap side. But I expected a little bit of this since we were buying one of the cheapest products on Amazon. If you are looking to buy this for your forever home, I would look for something of higher quality since this doesn't really fit the bill. Last but the least, the reason that I'm giving it a four stars instead of five is because when this product was first ordered, the outside packaging was ripped and the plastic packaging were non-existent for some parts. I'm not sure why they were shipping us a used product when we bought it for a new product's price, but it was a hassle to return this item via UPS since the weight of this product is pretty heavy. Even though the return and replace process was hassle free, I did lose some of the my time and my effort lugging this heavy package to a nearby UPS office, and trying to replace this item for a new product. If this didn't happen, I would give it five stars since even though the product isn't perfect, the price for this item was very economical and affordable for my family.

I’m very happy with this bed frame. It was easy to assemble, and all the parts were included with clear instructions. The frame feels very sturdy and doesn’t squeak or wobble, even after regular use. It provides excellent support for the mattress, and the extra space underneath is perfect for storage. Besides the obvious,be sure you measure the length of your bed rails, I just assumed that all full size box springs would fit my mattress, well ya they matched but my rails were meant for a Queen box springs, I love my box springs and as soon as I can find “Full size rails, the box spring was easy to assemble, very sturdy, the height is just right! I recommend this box spring!

This worked out well, no need to spend $300 on a box spring. Took some time to assemble but very straight forward.
