Updated Jan 2022, it's already BROKEN it does not go up or down...VERY POOR DESIGN AND MATERIALS.It's too long for me... Also when clicked in on the mid height and your seated it not stable, you here clicking noises.

this is a inexpensive alternative for a dropper upgrade. its all mechanical so you have only three positions. i put it on an older bike that i didnt want to spend much money on.

My initial review of this was 4 stars because it appeared to be well built and was relatively inexpensive.However after only a few rides, the post started randomly and abruptly DROPPING during riding. This happend without warning every few minutes and is a violent drop... enough to almost cause a wreck.I tried adjusting the cable, the lever, lubing the internal release mechanism, but it simply didn't hold in the high position dependably. It got worse as time passed. It got to the point where during my entire ride, I was just waiting for it to randomly drop over and over instead of enjoying the ride. I discovered this after the return period, so it went in the trash. Was just too dangerous for me to use.
