This muddler has two ends for crushing items. One is a grooved nylon head that you can use in a glass container, and the other is a grooved stainless steel head that you can use in containers that won't be damaged by a steel head. The grooves help to keep what you're crushing from slipping out from under the head. You can also use this to mash soft fruits, such as avocados to make guacamole. I like that it is made of stainless steel, which makes it rust-resistant and easy to sanitize.

This muddler does a really good job of mashing fruits. It's light weight and easy to hold. It's just the right size for the job. It has a nice shiny finish to give yourself that nice look. The only thing I wish for is a grip texture on the handle... When my hands got wet, which it will for making cocktails, it's hard to get a grip. Overall it's an excellent choice for the money.

This muddler is an essential part of any mixologist's toolkit. There was one slight imperfection in my handle, which was a little disappointing, but otherwise it's an attractive piece of my bar kit. The imperfection is just the tiniest little metal bur that didn't get polished out of the middle of the handle. I'm afraid to try and file it down and ruining the mirror finish, so I'm just going to leave it alone. It won't affect anything, and is only barely visible. I like that both ends can be used, and that the rubberized end is removable for cleaning.
