Worth ever penny
I've had this thermos for 5 years now. Could not be happier with it or more impressed. This morning around 8am, I made some tea in this thermos and then went hiking with a group of friends for the day. It was rainy and cold in the afternoon- probably around 2pm. I got my thermos out and as soon as I opened it, steam came rushing out. The tea was still nice and hot and comforting. And it's small (a great size for tea or soup) and lightweight, easy to bring along with me anywhere. It's kind of amazing.

Great container for sending warm soup for lunch to our children.
This thermos container works great to keep soup warm all day for my kids to enjoy during school lunch. We have had no problems with cleaning and my kids are able to open it without problems. This is the second time we have ordered this product. If we need another in this serving size, I would definitely order another one.I'm rating this five out of five stars.

Works well
This is a great thermos for keeping soups warm for lunches. It holds just over a cup of soup hot for at least 4 hours. I use it for my kids' lunches. Like most thermos-type containers, it works best if you heat it up first. I always fill it with hot water in the morning (since I make tea everyday, anyway) and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. The water is still steaming when I pour it out to fill it with soup. The soup is usually very hot when it goes into the thermos and stays warm until my kids eat it. The only thing I don't like is that it is a bit difficult to get the soup out with a spoon since the thermos is mostly vertical. For my young kids, I give them a bowl to pour the soup into so that it's easier to eat. There is no bowl-top on this, just a thermos. However, it does keep the contents hot. I even put chicken and rice one time and it worked really well. It's also nice and small so it fits into most reusable lunch bags fairly easily. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

Hot things hot, cold things cold- just like it should be.
I was so excited when my fourth (out of five) child started kindergarten this year. I could not wait for her to experience lunch time, and the opportunity to eat in a cafeteria with her friends. She has always been such a good eater, that I thought she would happily buy lunch every day. I. was. Wrong. After her first day of school she declared that she would no longer be purchasing lunch, and she was going to be packing from here on out.And just as suddenly- my easy going, never picky, eater, became my biggest challenge. For the first 3 months, she would only eat pb&j or ham and bread. And I was really starting to worry about her diet. Finally, over winter break, she began showing interest in hot lunches once again. So we took advantage of this and purchased an insulated container to pack lunches in.Our first purchase was not a thermos brand product, and we quickly discovered that you get what you pay for- and it wasn’t good. This is why we love Thermos:- It stays hot. We warm it up by pouring hot water in it, while we heat her soup or something from that famous happy kids “chef”.- It doesn’t leak. There is nothing worse than your 6 year old telling you that you ruined her day with dry soup and wet backpack.- Dishwasher safe! This is such a big deal, you just don’t know it yet. Other brands do NOT hold up to the dishwasher, and the result is ^^ wet backpack.- Hot inside does not mean hot outside. I can pack hot and cold items in her lunch bag and hot stays hot, cool stays cool.- Clean designs are gender neutral- hopefully this means no more fighting ( but not likely).I purchased this item outright. Like you, I rely on reviews to guide me when shopping online, so I hope that I have helped you make an educated decision.

Works great
My kindergartner claims this thermos is magic, haha. We have all been impressed with how well it keeps food warm for his lunch. We fill it with hot water for a few minutes before putting in the food. He’s taken tortellini, soup, and even some chicken nuggets in this and claims it’s always warm. He has about 3.5 hours between when we pack it for school and when he eats lunch.

Great option for school lunches!
I saw this jar when visiting my daughter's kindergarten lunch and looked it up right away - it solved the cold lunch issue! There are steps involved, so rather than packing her lunch box the night before and putting in the fridge, i now pour hot tap water into the container while reheating her food so it's piping hot, then dump the water down and put the food in. This happens around 7:15am each morning, and they don't eat lunch till 1:30 - she says lunch has been a lot more enjoyable as it is comfortably warm by that time. The container holds the perfect portion of pasta, or any other type of warm food for a young child. We usually pack some fruit on the side for dessert and she is well fed. One minor challenge with the container has been that it can be tough for her (she is 5.5) to open it - but adults in the lunch room have gotten used to being asked for help with those. I do wash it immediately after she comes home by hand and hand dry (including around the plastic ring on top, so we haven't had issues with dirt or mold - but we've also only had it for just over a week. Will update if we run into those.
