DRAW TITE Replacement Part, Reese SC™ Friction Pads w/Screws

I purchased these to replace the original ones which seem to be wearing quicker than I expected on my anti-sway bars. The new ones are not identical to the old ones but I’m hoping they will work.

The screws where short an one of them stripped out so I had to use one old screw when I installed them. Pads seem to be good but I will need more road tim to see the result.

They are identical to the originals. However, the originals are very difficult to replace and these will be too. The screw rusts in place and usually has to be drilled out. I thought I'd be smart and use a longer screw through a straight hole, with a nut on the bottom. Brilliant idea, but didn't work. The nut interfered with getting the cover back in place. So now I had to install Heli-Coils to restore the threads in the drilled-out screw holes. Short story is the replacements are fine but expect to have to drill the screws out.

These are getting harder to find now that this hitch is no longer made. I bought to have as spares since when they split or wear out you have to replace before you can hook up.

I had to drill out the holes a little larger so the screws would align with the weight distribution system part they attached, but this was exactly what I needed at the best price around.

Had our original Reese hitch since 2012 and the pads were worn down to the screw heads. These pads are a perfect replacement and the fact that they come with new screws is a plus.

Product as advertised and look to be decent quality. Installed today with the first trip this weekend, will add to this review if they disappoint me or I have any issues.

I received these in good order. It was a little problem installing them as I had to heat up the old screws with a torch in order to get them out.
