I recently purchased the THE GYM PEOPLE Women's Drawstring Sweat Shorts High Waisted Summer Workout Lounge Shorts, and I have been really impressed! These shorts are incredibly comfortable — the fabric is soft, lightweight, and breathable, which makes them perfect for summer workouts or just lounging around the house. I love the high-waisted fit because it feels supportive without being too tight. The drawstring is functional and actually helps customize the fit, which is great whether I’m working out or running errands. They stay in place and don’t ride up, which is a big win for me. The length is just right — not too short and not too long — and they look flattering on. I’ve washed them several times, and they’ve held up well without shrinking or losing their shape. Overall, these are a great mix of comfort and style. I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for versatile summer shorts that work for both workouts and casual wear!

I couldn't have been more pleased with this product. The shorts are thin lightweight but the fabric is sturdy and durable. The fabric is very very soft and comfortable and the fit is flattering. I especially like the high rise waistline and the fact that the pockets don't create a line or bulk underneath the first outer layer. I've worn them at the gym and on hot days and they are very breathable and airy. They don't show sweat marks either. I've washed them with delicates and either hung dry or machine dried on low heat a few times already and they still look good as new. I got a size XS and I'm 5'3" 107 lbs 25" W and 35" H. I love that the fit is just right, as I like to wear them high on my true waistline but don't like shorts to be tight on tummy. Would definitely recommend

Edit Aug 2025 I have since purchased multiple colors of these shorts after the initial pair and I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars. I have not received a damaged pair since. I went down a size in the shorts and I like the fit much better too. No more weird flaring. Yes, the shorts show water stains very prominently but they wash & dry just fine. I love the thick, spongy, stretchy material. They’re super comfy! I also live in a hot summer climate and don’t find they’re not breathable or anything like that. The one thing I do not like is that my iPhone Max is too heavy for the pockets and the tip of the pocket will peak out of the bottom of my leg which is annoying. I wish they were sewn down all the way :/ —— These shorts seem like they’re nice, high quality material and they were very comfy. I liked the length and the soft waistband. & I loved the purple colorway. Unfortunately they didn’t work out for me, the way the pockets are sewn down the side seams made them flare out at the sides on me. I have fairly un-muscular, narrow thighs, & it just looked awkward. Maybe if you are more fit & don’t skip leg day, you will have a better fit than me!

I ordered a grey pair and a black and I like them, but be aware these run at least a size large. I got the XS after reading the measurements, and they are still a little loose, which isn’t a big deal as I bought them for loungewear. I’m not even that small, I’m 5’3 and 115 lbs with wide hips and thick thighs. I could have ordered a size smaller but that’s apparently as small as they come. Not very size-inclusive. Im happy with the quality, though.

Love how comfy these shorts are! It’s a great stretchy quality and the length is perfect for me. I’m normally a size S, but ordered a size M for a more baggy look. Will order in more colors!

Really like these! Waist band is thick and heavy the the rest of the shorts aren’t heavy and I like that. Recommended size was a M but based on reviews I bought a S and they fit perfectly (I am 4”11” ish and 135 ish for reference). I ordered in more colors!

These shorts have a nice soft feel and the high waisted design is comfortable for lounging or light activity. The drawstring makes it easy to adjust the fit, and they are lightweight enough for warm weather or casual wear around the house. For me personally, the fit just was not ideal. While they are comfortable, they did not sit quite the way I was hoping for in terms of shape and overall look. They may work better for someone looking for very relaxed lounge style shorts, but they were not my perfect match.

These are the comfiest shorts ever and for such a great price! I bought them in multiple colors because of how much I love them. The material is very soft, stretchy, and not too thick so they are very breathable for hot summer days. The pockets are nice and deep, which is hard to find on women's shorts. They are perfectly high waisted and easily adjustable with the drawstring, great to throw on for an easy cute pair of shorts.

Super comfy, great for when I was postpartum from c-section as they are not tight. Would recommend and purchase again!

Shorts that don’t show your butt when you bend over but still look cute and comfortable for an affordable price. Can’t go wrong.

Soft and comfy! I'm 5'7" and 130 lbs and ordered pink in size small. Perfect fit! They are just what I wanted. Not too thick or thin. Seems like they're good quality. I'll probably order more in other colours.

Fabulous quality! Great price and loved that it came in white (among with other colours that I would be happy to buy in the near future). Fit was wonderful. Ran true to size. However, with the reviews from other websites with their white shorts being see-through, these are too. Not overly see through, but let's say don't wear any striped garments underneath. I'll give them a wash and dry. Hopefully they will be okay, otherwise I know which garment colours to wear underneath. :)
