Nutricost Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) 500mg, 240 Capsules (3 Bottles)

I've suffered from acne even into my (late) 40s. Adding this to my daily regimen has cleared my skin tremendously! I haven't had a cyst in the 5 months I've been taking it. Hooray!!(I take 1000mg every morning)

This dose may be way too high for me - after all it is an acid. Every time I take it, I get heartburn. If taken at bedtime, I am up all night with heartburn and nothing will get rid of it. May try a much lower dose. The heartburn doesn't respond to anything.

This helps keep my acne at bay. It doesn’t completely get rid of it (only a healthy diet a.k.a. cutting out sugar and dairy will do that) but this was a blessing after struggling with cystic acne for so long. I wish I would’ve found this sooner.P.S. I am a man and read a lot of women’s comments about a hair loss side effect from this product but I don’t have that problem. Maybe it affects men and women differently like how Isotretinoin (accutane) does? I’m not sure just a theory

I have acne prone and oily skin. I did a lot of research and read countless reviews on using Vitamin B5 for clearing acne before I started taking them. Long story cut short, it worked temporarily for me. I had to overdose the first couple of months for me to see results and I believed my skin also purged a little in the beginning. It help cleared small pimples away in a few days, but months later I started to notice I lost more hair than usual. I read side effects about this and didn't think it would happen since to me I have A LOT of hair (fortunately). And till this day, I'm still losing a lot of hair and I want to believe it was because to taking B5. So I stopped using it completely. What I found to work better is the Aztec Secret's Indian Healing Clay. I think it works the same way as B5 ie skin purging and then your skin will clear up. Anyway, just my precaution that taking Vitamin B5 works but it's not ideal to be taking long term!

Pantothenic Acid will cure your cystic or hormonal acne. I have been on spironolactone, and this provides similar results.I take between 2-4 per day.I’ve tried many brands and they all have worked well…this one is a great price and works just as well as expensive brands.

I'm 58 and have had hormonal acne since my 20s. They didn't know about PCOS then I guess. A complete hyster in mid-30s (no ovaries) and then came the HRTs; hormonal imbalances/acne continued. Discovered hormone pellets in the last few years and finally...perfection; except for hormonal acne due to the testosterone. Started taking spironolactone (which helped after 1-3 months) then stopped taking it. I didn't want to pay for another prescription drug if I didn't need it when I read about this vitamin as a possible help and took a chance. People, I've been taking it for a few weeks and I truly believe it has been the reason I've had no breakouts. None. This is unheard of with my skin and we're talking back, chest, neck. All I can say is, take a chance. What have you got to lose? I hope this helps somebody in their struggle with this depressing condition. I may have found my answer with this supplement!
