Very pleased with this little radio. I bought it primarily for use in the event of a power cut so the wind up option is very useful. The torch element is also a welcome addition. The sound quality is surprisingly good for such small radio. Considering its size it feels quite heavy which is reassuring. Altogether I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Really nice little device, feels well built and does exactly what I needed. The solar panel works well for topping up the charge, and the hand crank is a great backup option. The speaker is surprisingly clear and louder than I expected, especially for something this compact. The sound it puts out is way better than I expected for something this small. With the solar panel, hand crank, and USB charging, it’s just really handy to have, especially for camping or in case of a power cut. Great all rounder for the size.

I have to confess I’m a bit of a prepper, and in an age where you have to check the news before getting out of bed just to decide if it’s worth bothering, having a reliable emergency kit isn’t just sensible, it’s survival 101. And this wind-up radio ticks all the right boxes. First off, it’s not just a radio. It’s your Plan B in a box. You’ve got AM/FM access to keep up with news or weather updates when the power’s out or you’re off grid, plus a surprisingly bright LED torch built in, which is great if you’re rummaging around in the dark looking for your last tin of beans. The crank handle works well and charges the unit with minimal effort—handy for keeping the battery topped up when solar isn’t an option (cloudy Britain, I’m looking at you). That said, the solar panel does help trickle-charge it during the day if you leave it on a windowsill or out on the campsite. What I like best about it, is its size, it’s small which means it’s perfect for bug-out bags. It’s lightweight too and feels durable enough to chuck into a grab bag or glovebox without worry. The SOS alarm is a feature I hope I’ll never need, but it’s good to know it’s there. And the colour (I went for the light orange) is actually a smart choice—bright enough to spot in low light or clutter. The bottom line is, if you’re into hiking, camping, or just like knowing you’re not entirely at the mercy of the next power cut, this little radio is a solid addition to any prepper’s stash. Reliable, versatile, and surprisingly capable for its size. A cracking bit of kit!

compact device. Firstly the radio works well and the crank handle performs well with a bit of elbow grease and the torch is great. The battery life also has a higher capacity than similar ones that I’ve seen before. It’s perfect for outdoorsy use whether your camping or at the beach, and ideal for use in a power cut. It enables me to charge my phone, or sound an alarm in an emergency. It does also have a solar panel which I think is a bit more of a Hail Mary and is also weather dependant. The old school radio sounds good for its size, it’s easy to tune and it’s small and lightweight to carry. In my opinion it’s very fairly priced and arrives with clear instructions and a USB-C cable and a lanyard. I hope you find my review helpful.
