Stays in place, super comfortable, and perfect for all-day wear
I’ve tried a lot of headphones, including in-ear earbuds and over-the-head styles, and these are by far the most convenient for me. I have big, curly hair, and over-the-head headphones never sit right. I’m constantly adjusting them depending on how my hair falls, especially at the gym. With these, I don’t have to worry about that at all. Also, random but real, I have a big smile, and I’ve noticed with my in-ear earbuds that when I smile or my cheeks lift, they actually start to come out of my ears. That doesn’t happen with these at all. They stay in place, even when I’m moving around a lot. They’re very lightweight and comfortable. I wore them all day at work, moving around, and even tossing my head a bit, and they stayed secure. They connect easily to both my phone and my laptop, which makes them really versatile. I’ve used them for meetings, audiobooks, videos, and music, and everything sounds clear. People could also hear me clearly on calls. I also like that I can still hear what’s going on around me since they don’t sit inside your ear. The design is really nice too. The earbuds are sleek, and the case has a mix of matte and shiny black that looks really good. Battery life has been great so far. I charged them when I first got them and have used them for over 10 hours without needing to recharge. Last time I checked, one of the earbuds was still around 70 percent. Overall, I love these. They’re comfortable, practical, stay in place, and work really well for both everyday use and work.

Love these earbuds!
Really pleasantly surprised by how much I love these! Backstory: I was a Samsung girlie for a long time, and really loved my Galaxy FE buds. Unfortunately the left earbud stopped working within a year of getting them (luckily they were under warranty and I got it replaced/fixed, but then the left one stopped working AGAIN within another 6 months, and the right one about two months after that. Sigh). But honestly, I loved them enough that I was going to just get them again and hope for the best... that is, until I read the reviews and saw SO many people complaining about how quickly they stopped working. So I decided I didn't want to risk it and went on the hunt for something different. I exhaustively read lots of reviews on several different earbuds, and was honestly getting discouraged until I read the reviews on these and saw that they were... gasp... actually mostly positive! I was intrigued. Then I remembered that a friend had highly recommended this brand, but the bone conducting headset (Open Run Pro2). I knew I would rather have individual earbuds vs something that wrapped around the back of my head, so the Open Dots seemed like they might be a better fit for my needs. I was skeptical that they would be too big and clunky, and that I would miss the noise cancelling option of my old ear buds. But to my surprise, I've really enjoyed them and think that I'm a convert now! They were super easy to set up and connect to my phone (had to download an app to tweak settings, but that was super simple too). They are comfortable and light despite being larger than your average bud. They also feel quite secure on my ear, and I'm not really worried about them falling off. I wear glasses and they don't get in the way at all (which I had worried about with the Open Run Pro 2 headset). I like that the buds are interchangeable (they both work in both ears). The sound is really very good for being "open air" style, enough so that I don't miss the noise canceling as much as I thought I would. Sometimes in extra loud situations (like someone talking loudly near you), it's annoying not to have, but for the most part it hasn't been a deal breaker for me. I actually kind of enjoy being able to hear the ambient noises of my surroundings more than I thought I would. When I have them paused, I can hear everything around me, including if someone needs to talk to me (aka I don't have to take the earbud out of my ear in order to hear them, which is really nice). I got the pink ones, and I really like the color... the shiny part is like a rose gold, and the matte part is more like a dusty rose color (so it feels more classy, and not punch you in the face pink). They also have a 2 year manufacturers warranty, which I think is awesome compared to the single year that most companies offer. Cons: - They aren't the most responsive to the double tapping. Shokz did release a firmware update to make them MORE sensitive, but then it kind of toes the line of being TOO sensitive/responsive, so I currently have that option turned off. It still works, it just usually takes a couple of intentional double tap tries. Pinching the battery part on the back of the ear works more reliably to pause/play, but I'm just so used to the double tap from my old set that I just do it instinctually. - The notification noises are quite loud. For awhile, I was having an issue when I had it paired to both my phone and my tablet, that when I walked in and out of range from the tablet while listening to music on my phone, it would make an unnecessarily loud notification noise in my ear as it disconnected/reconnected each time. I finally had to unpair it from my tablet altogether because it was driving me crazy. If that notification noise could be adjusted (or at least just lowered), that would be a huge improvement! Overall, I'm very happy with these and I'm glad I took the chance on them!! Here's hoping they last longer than my Galaxy FEs did!

Best earbuds ever made
I currently have both the OpenDot ONE. I have had several different Shokz brand headphones, starting with the original bone conduction headphones. I bought my first pair about 9 years ago. I work construction pipefitter by trade. And for what I used them for they were great. As time goes I have moved inside our company, now no longer “ on my tools”, now I seem to spend a large amount of time either on the phone or emailing someone. Every pair I have had were very comfortable, my only complaint has been with the magnetic chargers, where they are exposed, it seems like it gets “gummed up” with fine metal dust, and is very hard to keep clean, for me. The two newest I have both have cases. And are waterproof, I use them for work, take them to my residence, charge them for a short time (10-20 minutes) then go work out, and I sweat pretty bad during my workouts. They do not slip or fall off. The outside material is a smooth silicone. That feels very nice. They seem to be made from quality materials all around. Connected super quick to my iPhone. If you are buying these get the Shokz app it is worth it. They are not particularly loud as they are outside the ear, but they are loud enough to drown out everything in a planet fitness, loud enough I can carry on a conversation on the phone with my window partially down while driving. They are small, not much bigger than EarPods. They do NOT have active noise cancelling, or any sort of noise cancellation. They are very discreet I can listen to music and sitting next to me no one can hear what I am listening to. So far ALL Shokz devices have been very compatible with every device that I have paired them with. As for range I have been surprised actually I know Bluetooth is only a short distance carrier wave, but these seem to have a in excess of 30 foot range. I have suggested these to other people, I will suggest them in the future, and when these die I will most likely buy again.

i love them!!!!
I love them!!! I use them constantly, and they don’t hurt my ears at all compared to AirPods. The sound is great, and the mic works really well for calls and video. I can connect them to two devices at the same time, which is super convenient. Sometimes I even forget I have them on, even after hours of use. Battery life is amazing — it lasts me about a week with regular use without needing to charge them again. They’re great for work, calls, or even walking outside since you can still hear your surroundings. I also love that they don’t have a right or left bud — you can use either one on either ear. It’s super convenient because if I’m using just one and want to switch ears, I don’t have to grab the case or change anything, I just move it. They also look really cute, like an ear cuff, and they don’t fall off even when you’re moving around. I would definitely recommend them 100%!

Great Sounding Ear Buds
The SHOKZ OpenDots ONE are a great pair of open-ear earbuds. They are lightweight, EXTREMELY comfortable, have long battery life and sound great. Bearing in mind they are open buds, they have good bass and clarity, and some tweaking of the sound can be accomplished via the app. For me, functionality is where they need improvement. The touch controls are pesky so I’ve resorted to adjusting the controls using only the device from which I’m listening. Single pairing is easy, however multipoint pairing can only be accomplished via the app. If not using the app, to switch between devices (no multipoint), you have to place the buds back in the case and perform the pairing function, and once connected to the 2nd device, the 1st device disconnects. For this price point SHOKZ should have done a better job with these two issues. If you’re wondering how they compare to the pricier Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, (I’ve had pair of Bose for quite some time), out the box the Bose sound better but not by a mind-blowing significant difference. Although comfortable in the short term, the Bose are also slightly heavier and I can tell the difference over time between the two. I should note this would probably only be an issue for people with smaller ears. The functionality on the Bose are definitely better than the SHOKZ. Battery life is about equal. Overall the SHOKZ are a solid, if not slightly over priced pair of open-ear earbuds.

Great pair of comfortable earbuds
These are excellent earbuds. I had Samsung Live buds previously, and I was looking for something similarly open to my environment. OpenDots fit very well. I often forget I'm wearing them. The sound quality is better than I expected for the open style too. I set up controls to my liking using the app, and that customization worked out well. I like that they pause audio when I take them out, but I wish they wouldn't do the same when I was putting one back into the case while still using the other one. They don't have a left and right design, which is also cool so they can't be mixed up. I personally found the value to be good considering this style isn't very popular with most companies (hence the Samsung Live getting discontinued), and the quality of the product is very high.

Surprising comfort. Surprising sound.
I'm on my third pair of Apple Airpods Pro, love them, but I was looking for something that is open ear. I had two major requirements: to hear my immediate environment and the Airpods tend to let outside sound in, even in transparency mode, but after the first sound; and they need to be comfortable and stay put in bed. We own four Shokz headsets, including a pair of Openfit 2 earbuds my wife uses, which she loves. So I bought the Openfit 2+, which were great but they hurt my ears. I returned them and bought the OpenDots with my fingers crossed, which have turned out to be perfect for me. Situational awareness: they produce clear audio while letting in just enough external sounds I'm confident I can hear my wife if she needs me (age-related issues), the dog if he needs to go out (fifty times a day), or if the cats are up to something (they are little criminals). Comfort: I think it's because of where they sit on my ear, but they are surprisingly comfortable. At least for my ears. In fact, when I want to pause a podcast or skip ahead to the next song, it can be a challenge locating them on my ear -- I literally can't feel them. Also, I saw a handful of 3-star reviews about not for side sleepers, they can fall out, etc. I'm a side sleeper and am relieved to say they are secure and comfortable. Sound quality: This was not one of my priorities, although I was hopeful. And a bit skeptical, given just what they look like and how they fit. Suffice to say I'm blown away. Really. How can this sound come out of those little beasts? I'm not an audiophile, but music is rich and spacious and my podcasts are crisp and clear. Mic/outgoing sound quality: My voice is clear and clean, although I'm told it doesn't have the bass produced by the Airpods. Very acceptable. That sound you hear? Me breathing a great sigh of relief -- I've found the perfect earbuds, at least for me.

These are probably the most comfortable earbuds ever!
I bought these because I workout a lot and spend a ton of time in the gym. I own about 8 paid of ear buds or headphones and decided to buy these because I have a tragus piercing on each ear and traditional ear buds make the tragus cartilage tender and itchy. I’m going to tell you, immediately, that there are alot of pros to these earbuds. First, they’re absolutely beautiful and they look really nice when you’re wearing them (which wasn’t even a priority but is a huge perk), the sound quality rivals some of my most expensive brands and does not sound tinny or muffled, the people around me can’t hear my music, podcasts are incredibly clear, the controls are easy to use, the battery life is better than most of my other earbuds, and they’re comfortable. However, the biggest two pros in this list are: 1. They don’t hurt my ears regardless of how long I’m wearing them. 2. Even when I’m listening to music, I can hear the world around me. These earbuds get very loud - but I’ve never maxed them out so I can’t speak to the actual sound level it can reach; but, it is for sure louder than anyone probably needs it to be. The one con I have is the fit. These earbuds slide on me a little bit and when they aren’t placed correctly they turn off. This is *MY* con, but it may not be your con. I have incredibly small ears and I don’t think the average person will experience slippage due to the (soft) silicon material. Keep in mind the reason they turn off when it believes they’re not in use is to preserve battery life so I don’t have a problem with that. Also, on the note of battery, I feel like I charge them… maybe every 8 or 9 days? It’s not very often considering the amount of hours being used between charges. And, finally, I would absolutely recommend these earbuds for anyone who lives an active lifestyle, doesn’t want noise cancellation, or who has a piercing that traditional ear buds irritate. I’m a picky consumer and would not hesitate to recommend these earbuds or replace them if I needed another pair. It was a great purchase. I took off 1 star because I wish they were slightly tighter on my ears.

Great open-ear headphones with excellent comfort
I’m really impressed with the SHOKZ OpenDots One , they’re lightweight, secure, and comfortable even during long wear. The open-ear design lets me stay aware of my surroundings while still enjoying clear, rich sound . The Bluetooth connection is stable, the mic picks up voice well, and the water resistance gives extra peace of mind for workouts or rainy days. Battery life is excellent too , I easily get close to the advertised 40 hours. Highly recommended if you want quality audio without blocking out the world!
