My new iMac doesn’t have a built-in CD/DVD burner/player, so I looked around and tried this Kilineo external drive. It is so simple. Just plug it in, and it works perfectly and quickly for importing CDs into my iTunes and for burning playlists onto blank CDs. I haven’t tried it for DVDs yet. I thought the price was excellent. There is no problem in inserting or ejecting the CD, I just hit the eject button on the iMac menu bar, and it the CD tray pops open. The small black eject button on the burner/reader body also works for me.

I would give this product zero stars if possible. I used this product one time for 2 CD's. The second time I tried to use it the CD tray wouldn't open no matter what I did. The green light comes on as if it got the message to open but no longer opens. Since I am 2 days past the return date I am out the moneys spent with a non-functioning product. Grrrrrr.....

It works well, so far. I would buy it again.

This external drive is nice and slick and affordable. While it worked it worked awesome. But it didn't work for too long. I run maybe 40 to 50 cd roms and music cds and that was it. Now it will not open any more. I hope other users had better luck with it.

Believe it or not, I don't have a CD reader in my laptop. I don't ever use CD's anymore, but I had some old CD's with data that I needed. Out of all of the CD readers that I saw, this was the best price, and feature overall. I'm pretty happy with it.This reads smaller CD's too, which is what I needed. Nice.

First off, it has a weird USB cord, so if you lose it, it'll be hard to replace. Second: It doesn't play a number of my DVDs (which another LG player plays just fine). It gets stuck, tray won't open sometimes and keeps saying that it's "skipping over damaged areas" when another player seems to have no issue with the same disk. You can do a lot better.

I bought a new desktop that doesn't have space to add an internal DVD drive (instead it has three big fans on the front) so this was an easy solution, the construction seems sturdy and the reading and writing speed (the few times I had to use it) were good.

Just received this external CD/DVD drive for my Lenovo (IBM) T470 running Windows 10. The laptop recognized the drive but I'm unable to get the drive to read or play any CDs or DVDs. I've tried multiple DVDs I have that range from music to instructional material (e.g. The Great Courses).I'm sending back for a full refund
