Installed the fan last night. Installation was a breeze and took about 45 minutes.I chose to not use the remote module (I hate the whole idea of controlling a permanent fixture like a fan with a remote control that can fail or be lost), but connected it to a fan controller. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N8XAGTF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (NOT a dimmer - a light dimmer won't work properly on a fan.)Assembly and installation were very simple, and the fan looks great. The center disk (no light fixture) remains stationary and looks pretty cool. It's not immediately obvious that the blades are plastic - they have a pretty realistic wood-look to them.Operation of the fan is completely and totally silent as far as motor noise or hum is concerned. You do hear the wind noise at the highest speed. With the fan controller wall switch (3 speeds), the slow speed is VERY slow, and the high is VERY VERY fast.I would definitely recommend this for purchase. So far, we are extremely happy with this fan.EDIT: 03/25/2020 This fan moves massive amounts of air. One of the reviewers has said that his fan wobbles, and doesn't move the CFM of more expensive fans. My fan is rock steady, and moves more air than any fan I've ever encountered. Very satisfied with the fan on all fronts.

Just so theres no confusion these blades are plastic with a simulated design that looks like wood. I Got this fan and really like the colors. One thing to note is the price when comparing this to other fans. You are paying for the design. It doesn't move the same c.f.m as others this size. The fan I received had a quality defect near the base that made it look lopsided when It is on and moving. It's quiet and doesn't wobble at high speed although the only thing you can hear is the woosh sound of the blades moving air. It is nice but it does come with its cost cutting as i pointed out early in this review. The remote was bulky and cheap looking like a default universal model made to work with this particular unit and many others just from switching dip switches inside of it. It had a separate button to operate a light that doesn't exist on this model. Overall a decent fan but a bit costly for what you get in quality

LOVE the look of this fan! The low profile and quietness of this fan is perfect for our living room. The remote is a great feature to add to the simplicity of the fan's look. The 3 speeds are wonderful, even the high mode is still quiet and blows plenty of air. The box included directions for the remote feature and for balancing the fan, but did not include installation instructions. Since we were familiar with the process of installing a fan, we were able to figure it out. Would buy again and again!
