This is an amazing product for tube fed people. So might healthier that traditional formulas. The difference for us has been life changing.

I hope you never need this product, but for me it’s a savior. I have a reoccurrence of Oral Mucositis/Radiation Recall that recently landed me in the hospital. I had difficulty swallowing and was on a purée/liquid then weaned on to final chopped, moist food for when I was sent home. Unfortunately, I was unable to swallow even those tiny bits of food and was living on baby oatmeal, yogurt, soft eggs and protein shakes. A friend suggested these and figured why not. I guess they taste good, but more importantly, I add 8oz strong homemade chicken broth (stuff is thick and just a tad gritty) and warm it in the microwave and it goes down just fine and they are kind of filling. It has most of the nutrients I need, plus lots of minerals and vitamins. Good luck to everyone who needs this product.

Great smelling food. Very healthy for the gut. Grate for tube feed or by mouth.

They work great but are expensive.

After 7 weeks of oral radiation and a huge weight loss, my husband temporarily has a g-tube to supplement what he's able to eat by mouth. Ensure and other brands of nutritional drinks were making him sick so the hospital nutritionist gave us six varieties of Real Food to try. Game changer for him. Plus we love that it's real food so he's getting a good variety of nutrients, healthy proteins, fish, eggs, vegetables, grains and fruits. 320 to 340 calories per pack. Our insurance company pays about 70 percent of the cost, making them very affordable. I put a pack in the blender with a little water to thin them out for the g-tube. They must be used within 24 hours so I make 2 to 3 each morning and store them in 8 oz mason jars in the fridge. Very easy to use, and we have peace of mind knowing he's getting the nutrition he needs while recovering from chemo and radiation. Highly recommend. Great product.

If you have a loved one newly put on a PEG tube, please pay close attention.This product is literally a lifesaver. I have been caring for my mom and this has made her adjustment to feeding tube life much better. She has been on a feeding tube for over a year now and is finally thriving. After a fall She was initially placed on the hospital type tube feed and was losing weight dramatically. Her entire body weight was 79 pounds and we thought she was dying. It turned out that her body could not process the hospital administered formula type feed and she was failing to thrive. Since starting her on real food blends my mom has made a complete turnaround. Her hair has started to grow and shine, it was very thin and falling out. Her energy has returned and she is up and walking instead of laying in bed. When my mom was initially put on the feeding tube and was not doing well, I was desperate. She was in a nursing facility and initially put on the feeding tube formula in the upside down bottle and was not doing well. She was in a nursing facility and they would not allow me to provide homemade feeding tube formula. I ended up having her discharged to home. I spent a long time researching using real food in tube feedings and found this product. I add it to freshly prepared homemade food at home and she has gained 25 pounds and is doing better. She ended up having to go back into a nursing rehab facility after a heart attack. I got permission from the medical director and the nutritionist to use the real food blends administered by the nursing staff while she was a patient there for three months. I think that this is the only reason she is still alive. She is back home again and has gotten another Christmas to spend with her granddaughter and family. You do not have to use the hospital type food at home. Many elderly needlessly suffer from all of the unwanted side effects of the hospital type feeding tube formula. There is a better way to do this and your loved one can live a satisfying life, even if they can no longer eat by mouth. I am very, very grateful for this product.

Every one of these meals contains fruit or fruit juice resulting in an unwanted sweetness. Examples: chicken, carrots & brown rice contains orange juice; and salmon, oats & squash contains apple juice. I have added all kinds of seasonings but cannot overcome the sweet taste. I have thrown them out.

My son is tube fed and this is my go to. I blend all of his food normally but when we are on the go or a day gets too hectic, the food lens is my go to. They are made with real food without any extra, added junk in them.
