gelatin is high in histamine, so why use it?

Hi there, we formulate and build our products with the most sensitive individuals in mind.  We are those people and want only the best of the best in our products and bodies.  Approximately, 30% or higher of our customers identify as having histamine or mast cell activation issues.  The majority of them (97%) tolerate this product just fine and actually end up reporting back to us that while they were nervous to try it, they felt some relief often in the first several weeks of trying it. Are any of these microencapsulated?

We use a patent pending enteric gel capsule for maximum protection from the stomach acid and bioavailability.  Inside our capsule is 99.9% liquid tributyrin.  We don't microencapsulate because that is what you do to a powdered product if you are trying to improve deliverability.  In order to powder tributyrin you have to dilute the tributyrin with carriers/flow agents so your potency drops significantly -- we didn't want to do.

i think this is a triglyceride- in that case, has this caused anyone chest pain?

Tributyrin is a triglyceride, made up of 3 butyrate molecules attached to a glycerol molecule.  As a supplement, it is used to deliver butyrate (a small chain fatty acid) to the small intestine and colon, where it confers health benefits to the gut.  I don't think it would add to the triglyceride blood levels that we are usually concerned about for heart health.  Those tend to go up because of poor diet (processed foods, high simple carbs and sugar, low fiber), excessive alcohol use, and not enough exercise.  Other lifestyle factors that might contribute to high triglyceride levels in your blood include inadequate sleep and too much negative stress.  Triglyceride levels can also be high for genetic reasons or in connection with other health problems like diabetes, thyroid disease, liver disease, or kidney disease.

Where is this manufactured?

As of December 2021 it’s manufactured at a top of the line factory in Spain. We’ve finally found a U.S. based manufacturer that can meet our extremely high specifications so hopefully by the end of the 2022 it will be made in the States.
