Q: Is there an app for easy access to device configuration? (iOS)

Netgear Nighthawk is the name of the app and it's easy to use.

Q: Does thos modem support Ubiquity access points?

Yes, I am running with a Dream Machine Pro and using a SFP+ 10GB to ethernet adapter so that I can get optimum speeds. I have a 1.5GB plan and I see on unifi speed test 1.1GB-1.3GB down and 40MB -60MB Up.

Q: There was no qr code attached for app setup, and manual does not respond at all. anyone having same issue/solution?

No, this was an easy setup through Xfinity using the xfinity's activate URL (google for your ISP). The CM2000 is a modem only and doesn't use app connection.

Q: why does this device constantly drop random WIFI users off my network and then not let them rejoin even after a power drain?

The CM2000 does not have WIFI, its a cable modem only. It does nothing more than provides the internet connection between your router and the cable company. I would look at your Router config to determine what your WIFI dropping issues are. depending on the Router, you may have logs that will help you troubleshoot the issue, you may have to enable Logging and watch it for a couple days but hopefully this will help.
