Gift for a tea drinking grandchild. It's so pretty I want to keep it for me!

Note: this for gong fu tea, brewing loose leaf tea with lots of leaf and not too much water. Think of it as the tea equivalent to espresso. Hence, the pot and cupscare smaller than western tea sets. Beautiful pottery, and ingenious little padded case. Includes teapot, 4 rather thick lipped cups, a tea canister, AND a water reservoir tea tray. Also a towel, and tongs. No gong dao bey, but otherwise a very complete little set. Purchased as a gift so I did not try it out myself, but it appears to be a well designed set for gong fu tea. ( filter holes are larger than I'd like but that's to be expected). Considering purchasing another for myself.

This is a gorgeous gongfu set and the design is just stunning. This is the blue mountains and rivers design and it is gorgeous, very delicately drawn with beautifully pigmented colors. The ceramics is slightly translucent so it just really catches the light nicely. This includes the tea pot, a pouring cup, infuser, 6 cups, a tea towel, bamboo tea tray, bamboo tea clip, and the really nice caring case that this all fits beautifully in. To use, you put the tea leaves in the bigger tea pot, called Gaiwan. You let that brew and then place the ibs infuser in the large tea cup that has a pouring spout(gongdao cup). Pour the contents from the Gaiwan into the gongdao cup, lift the infuser out and let it drain into the cup. Then pour the tea from the gongdao cup into the little small tea cups. This is just beautiful and is great for anybody who loves tea ceremonies. This would be a great gift for somebody I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review.
