Good standard puerh, clear, smooth, very enjoyable, good value. (7572)
This is what puerh is. You can steep it light or dark and decide how you like it best. The flavor is right, no offensive side flavors, and if you are new to puerhs, then this a good one try. It is a good standard puerh flavor, and it is priced right for what it is, when comparing to better and worse versions of the same tea. I gave it 5 stars because it is "good" and priced well, but it is not spectacular. Expect to pay much more spectacular. If this is the price you are used to paying for tea, then there is no reason to hesitate. Being the tea snob that I am, I would pay more for better tea, but I would not hesitate to buy this again.

genuine Dayi aka TaeTea!
Was alerted by someone on reddit that this tea could be found on Amazon. Now I usually buy from small tea sellers as I KNOW they only have genuine quality teas AND they know how to store it properly. Being this I bought on Amazon, I can only imagine what the storage conditions were (if you don't know, it REALLY can make a big difference when it comes to teas like puer), but whatever the case, the tea is good. I immediately removed it from the packaging (which has a holographic authenticity seal on it to signify it's not a fake) and put it in my humidor (ziplock bag with 69% humidity packs) and I noticed that the humidity didn't drop too drastically. TASTE: Having never tasted this tea (or any 7572 recipe) before, I can't compare it. But it does have classic Dayi notes, good mouthfeel, brews dark, good for a solid 4-6 steepings (30s-90s), mild sweet aftertaste and smells "fresh" (well as fresh as a ripe puer can smell since it smells like dirt/trees/compost), clean and no funky odors or flavors.

Good, smooth, maybe a tad bland.
It's good. No offensive tastes. But kind of bland compared to others I have tried. I think though that I would give it to people trying pu'er for the first time because it gives one an idea of what it's about without any extreme flavors. Very smooth and clean tasting. I think the main downside for me has been that it gets especially bland after the 3rd or 4th steeping where some other cooked pu'ers I have tried I could easilu steep 10 times and still find a lot of flavor. I am fairly new to pu'er though so am not an expert.

Smells and tastes repugnant
This was my first purchase for Taetea. The price was pretty low so I didn't expect anything amazing. But since Taetea is a well-known brand for pu erh tea.. like Lipton for black tea, I thought that it was going to meet my lowest expectation. Long story short, the tea tasted very artificial.. in a sickening way. It didn't smell anything like pu erh tea that I've known.. I'm not saying I'm pu erh tea expert since I've tasted only 6-7 different tea cakes.. But those tea leaves that I had were pretty high-end from my relative. So I thought I was spoiled at first and tried to convince myself that this is supposed to be the Chinese standard quality. I ended up drinking most out of the small tea cake. It took me like a month. All along I felt mildly sick in my stomach. Every time without an exception. It wasn't giving me a stomach ache or diarrhea.. but it was as if my body rejecting it because something is off. I should have thrown it away on the first try.. but amazon prime did not accept a return or refund. Oh, I just remembered... I found thick hair and that's when I realized that something's wrong with Taetea cooking method or at least this batch of the tea cakes. Because the cake was cooked or steamed, it was all curled up. Imagine finding thick curly hair after you finish drinking the tea. If this was a genuine Taetea cake.. I question the entire tea production lines from this company.. My experience with Taetea was horrible. I found a different pu erh tea brand that is in a similar price range. I'm relying on my own tongue and body reaction instead of the brand name. I'm happier with this other brand. None of the chemical smell or sickening feeling.

Special Tea
The classic Chinese tea that comes from distant mountains and is a favorite of tea connoisseurs. Featured in a favorite book club book, The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. My book club enjoyed the earthy taste and fragrance.

Smooth, nutty, subtle sweetness.
Pleasantly surprised by how good this taste. Very smooth, hints of nuttiness, and subtle notes of sweetness. Ripe Pu-erh tea flavor is more in the aroma after scent, not so much in the direct flavor. 7572 seems to be well made and steeps very well gongfu style. Overall I highly recommend this, considering it's difficult to find a decent source of Pu-erh on Amazon. Taetea has been around for a very long time over in China.
