Perfect for home security projects
I was struggling on how to get a home security camera project installed; didn't want to go for wireless cameras, either had to go for standard ethernet (with network & power cables) or POE cameras.Settled on the POE option, but wasn't looking forward to running 8 cables outside from my POE switch. Looked at outside enclosures that I could put a POE switch in, and quickly came up to a cost 2-3 times higher than this panel, and this is a lot smaller in size as well.It has a "hang on" bracket on the back, and 2 holes in the back bottom to secure the panel to the wall. 8 outgoing POE connectors RJ45 jacks and 2 regular network jacks, one for the incoming, and one if you want to daisy chain another switch (or ethernet device with it's own power supply). All said, quick install and works flawlessly!

Cheaper DYI Alternative
For the price it's hard to beat to get an outdoor PoE enclosure. Just don't expect to use all 8 ports without modifying the box by adding extra holes. Without modifying, one hour will be for your power cable and the other can fit 2-3 Cat 5Eor 6 cables at best. You won't be able to use all 8 PoE ports without modifying the box. I added just 2 more, I could have punched 2 more through the grate area (using 1/2" knockout punch) and cut/bent metal inside. Going through the side you would need to have waterproof stain reliefs. Overall this box is a little DYI, but it's cheap. For those who aren't sure about the power, Brown is for 120VAC (Black wire), Blue is for Neutral (White wire), and Green is ground. It's water resistant rating (IPX3) isn't waterproof but good for rain from the top. Don't mount it near the ground for splashes.

ideal and reliable
The is 100% reliable thus far and as a bonus, it is actually quite good looking.

delivered without the specific power cord.
Came with very minimal instructions\wiring diagram and without the required (as stated in the manual) power plug. Just bare wires that are colors I have never seen on a cable and no explanation in the "manual". Now that its been a few months I can't even return it or get the necessary power cord to make it work......I'm not happy at all.

Great so far.
Works perfectly. Time will tell how it holds up.

No manual. Not practical.
It does what it is supposed to do I reckon (mine came defective) but it is not really weatherproof. It would be fine outdoor as long as it's under something and not directly exposed to rain and sun. The holes at the bottom of the device for wires definably cannot pass all the cat5 cables plus power. Not sure how it supposed to be wired. Also manual does not exist.

Good upstream, poor downstream
This is good for cameras but not good for access points, the download is terrible, the upload is OK.

Knock out too small. Size too small
I have not installed them but one of the draw backs is the size of conduit being 1/2 inch. Beside electric wires which could be negotiated through we cant push 8-9 direct burial into 1/2 inch knockout

Works fine, with 8 PoE and 2 non-PoE 10/100 ports
Appears to be rainproof although the bottom knockouts are large enough to allow in spiders and other bugs. They are however sized to take a 25 mm Kopex flexi conduit. A knockout in the back would be useful to take the short power cable through the wall, but it's nothing a drill can't fix. It would be nice if some suitable grommets were supplied with it. BTW, the case is not connected to power ground but there are internal screws where you can add a wire tag.

It does the job, but suggesting that it's waterproof is wildly over-stating matters
In my testing so far, it has proven very capable of delivering power and data to a variety of devices over 60m cables, and I have no reason to doubt that it would work over longer runs too.The enclosure is metal, and I'd be amazed if it would ever receive an IP rating if tested. I'd have no reservations putting it in an outbuilding with a roof, but absolutely wouldn't trust it out in the elements. The mains cable (without plug) supplied is very short, so it's likely that you'd need to extend it. There are waterproof junction boxes like this one (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07JWGB7W6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that would probably do the job - that's what I'm planning on using.
