Got this as a Mother’s Day gift for my sourdough making MIL. It was a HIT!!! She absolutely loved it. The only complaint was that the suction to the counter top wasn’t strong enough, it kind of slides when you cut the bread. Other than that it works amazing. Such a cute and functional addition to the kitchen!

This is a must for anyone that makes sourdough bread. It makes my life so much easier. I had a bread knife that I cut myself pretty bad with trying to cut a slice of sourdough. It gave me pretty bad ptsd when I'd want to slice some bread, then I found this. You can select the thickness of your slice and it slices it beautifully. The base has 4 suction cups and it keeps it in place while you slice.

I've been baking bread for many years and always struggled with getting even slices.I tried a good bread knife with one of those bread guides where you corral the bread and slice down thru the slots. Plastic guide got chewed up from knife. Tried a wooden and metal one, but that wasn't much better. Discovered this little gem and I am so happy with it. Suction cups hold it steady,the blade is very sharp, the crank works well and I can slice nice thin sandwich slices. Instructions on using it are non-existent. You have to figure it out as you go. I'd like to know if the blade can be replaced in time but there was nothing to indicate that. I just got it so I don't know how it will hold up but for now I am thrilled with it.

I LOVE THIS SLICER FOR NICE EVEN SOURDOUGH SLICES! I’ve been contemplating the Zassenhaus for a while. My arthritis in hands doesn’t always allow me to slice firmly…for the price I’m glad I took a chance, I absolutely love it!

If you have a second person to hold it and keep it from slipping on the counter, and if you can raise it up on a second cutting board, it works fine. There is a bolt underneath that is too long, and the suction cups do not hold it in place, so it left a long scratch on our marble countertops. Hoping we just got a lemon.

Works pretty good for sourdough. Nice and small doesn’t take up too much space.

I purchased this atom because the bread slicer that I currently have it. Just never really gave me the look that I wanted with homemade bread.For me personally, this item was well worth the money because it slices bread beautifully, even the bread that I buy at the grocery store in the Delhi sections. Every slice is the perfect width that I choose based on adjustment tool on the base of the slicer. It's not for kids to use. It is sharp, but I love this product.
